Israeli Defense Force: Fight for Independence is a Total Conversion modification for the PC game Battlefield 2 (A.K.A. BF2). What we aim to achieve with this mod is to immerse the player into the historic wars involving Israel, Syria, Egypt, and Jordan, which are the 6-Day War, the War of Attrition, and the Yom Kippur War. The player will be able to play as a common soldier, crewmember, or pilot in these wars. The mod will feature historically accurate equipment such as the famous Russian AK-47, the fearsome SO-4050 bomber, the menacing IS3 and M48 tanks, and much, much more. Also, the maps will recreate actual battles that happened in these wars, to complete a historically-accurate and immersive modification. IDF:FFI is also a member of the acclaimed cooperative gaming studio Black Sand Studios.
The SG-43 Goryunov was a Soviet medium machine gun that was introduced during the Second World War as a replacement for the older M1910 Maxim machine guns. It was mounted on wheeled mounts, tripods and armored vehicles.
After the end of World War II, the SG-43 was improved and renamed SGM; dust covers and a new barrel lock were fitted, and a splined barrel was fitted to improve cooling. The SGM was widely exported and also licensed for construction in several countries, including Egypt. Egypt and Syria have used the SGM until its replacement by the PK machine gun.
Really nice! Is it going to be deployable or is it going to be around map. Im excited as im really big fan of machine guns! Especialy those can send enemy to respawn!
If we can figure out how to make a deployable mg than you may see that in the future.
