For the first time EVER in a Far Cry 2 mod, the player location has been scrubbed from the map, but kept on the GPS! Now you actually need to use your GPS to navigate. All dynamic icons now appear hand drawn. The first image below shows new colors and shapes, the other two show the new player icon system.
How this was not in the original game is beyond me. Incredible job.

Good show mate. Great mod. Gives it a feel of realism so to speak.
Now we need to get rid of all the silly storytelling, the logical errors in the world and the whatnot and Far Cry 2 will be gripping.
Uhm. I don't even know where the problem is supposed to be. Storytelling is simple but good. Logical errors? Where?
The only thing still grinding me is that checkpoint respawn crap but I guess this will never be removed since the creator of the mod stated its pretty much impossible removing or improving it.
Yeah that is a pity. I don't mind checkpoints respawning, but not after I've gone through them a mere minute ago :(
