Overhaul modification for Half-Life 2 & Episodes which adds everything you like to live. Development were inspired by Smod, Half-Life: Opposing Force and Black Mesa.
Main goal for this addon - upgrade weapon balance for better gaming experience. Now almost all useless or poor weapons got an upgrade and way too powerful ones - some nerfs.

ReBalance Next - gameplay overhaul addon.
This is the balance, which Steam version will use in the future.
It contains hundred of changes in game balance - starting from weapons stats, finishing with limbs damage change.
Main changes comparing to old 1.3 version: no SMOD weapons/models to avoid copyrights; limb system change; ~100+ additional weapon stats changed; slight NPC's weapon nerf.
Installation: Put folder in custom_addons folder. It should look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\OVERCHARGED\custom_addons\Overcharged 1.4 ReBalance Next
Now you should be able to use my addon: to configure it well, change weapon preset to weapons_rebalanced
If you want to play with different mapadd, you can type mapadd_rebalanced in mapadd settings.

Almost all weapons got reduced ammo pickup, since some weapons already reached the ammo limit since you pick it up. That's not interesting to play
Crowbar - increased primary attack speed
Ice Axe - primary attack speed increased a lot

Pistol - decreased spread and recoil a bit
Beretta - decreased clip size from 20 to 15; fire rate increased a lot in Burst mode, decreased interval between shots
Glock - increased fire rate in Auto mode, decreased recoil

This is essential.
Game was beaten from beginning to the end of EP2 on High difficulty without crashes caused by addon. I tried to remove most recoil and spread on most weapons, so the player's skill will really matter, because Hard difficulty has to be a good and not boring challenge.
Mapadd is based on "mapadd_overcharged" and mixed from patches 2.1 and 3.
Hey guys, ReBalance for Patch 4 will not include SMOD weapon, but it'll include it's support.
I'll add diferent addon with even more weapons (from gamebanana + SMOD ). I will put AN-94 and TOZ-34 in it too.
I've got even more ideas about changing mod balance, but I'd better wait for Patch 4 which will be next year (prob winter or spring).
Still don't know what people really like - my rebalance or/(and) SMOD guns. That separation will give me an answer.
Hello! Tried to install it but it seems like half of the mod's changes didn't apply, for example ice pick doesn't have ridiculous attack speed as seen in showcase video or pistol doesn't have auto mode.
But for some reason, the max ammo changes applied.
Did i do something wrong? Or everything's okay?
Sorry for the late answer. Probably you typed "weapons_rebalance" in weapons preset instead of "weapons_rebalanced".

Nah. I tried to change font settings in Overcharged crosshairs file; type of crosshair in weapon script file - all the same (only standart 5 white dots)
Hi,
Is it possible to only use dual wielding pistols (the starting ones, not the Beretta's) and the kick and have the rest of the game be vanilla?
In other words, can I use these two files (mods) separately?
There are Lite/Lite Plus game presets with mostly vanilla/beta experience. You can use them to get HL2 gameplay.
My mapadd is not a must for addon, it's just an addition, so you can use different ones without any troubles

How do you use this mod? do you just drag and drop it in with overcharged?
You put it in addons folder, then you apply the preset
