The Victoria 2 Historical Project Mod is an attempt to improve the game Victoria 2: A Heart of Darkness without changing the base game experience too much. Built using parts of the mods NNM and PDM as a base, the main aim is to improve the historicity of the game, including countries, map and pops and to add more historical flavor to the game, while taking into account the plausible historical outcomes and the mod performance. The first release includes a vastly improved country composition and a complete rework of the global slave population. Most countries now have slavery and slaves and the historical number of slaves, as well as their pop composition and religion, was used when available. Future releases plans are to include a serf pop type and reforms to represent it, other meaningful reforms for the time era, dynamic soundtrack for countries/governments/regions and a 1816 (or 1815) start date.

Description

I'm still owing an article about the 0.3.X features. In any case, there has been a few mistakes that I needed to correct, so a new version ended up coming sooner. A problem with liberal revolutions never firing was fixed. I recommend cleaning both map caches before running the the game with the mod. Always do clean installs.

Why was Kunming made part of the Qing, instead of Yunnan? Kunming was the capital of Yunnan region from the Ming dynasty till today. Your justification seems to stem from the fact that gold was mined there, but I don't see why it still can't be part of Yunnan.

The stated purpose of the Danuvian Federation is to make more cultures accepted. Well it's bs I got slovene, croat and slovak, it removed hungarian, so I ended up with less accepted pops than I had as Austria-Hungary that should not happen, it should at least give me an option to revert back to aus-hun, weakening me is bs, as far as I can tell there's no way to reintegrate hungary and stuff when you lose cores on them so then you're ******.

Also when making danubian federation I actually lost cores on eisendstat and stuff, that's one of austria's core provinces, I should not lose cores in the osterreich state. The event removes cores from all hungary's cores without realising THAT IT'S REMOVING CORES FROM OSTERREICH that's nonsense. I think the danubian thing deserves a full rework.

The flags are getting weird for me (The Israel Republic flag is used for Japan Republic, which in turn is used for Germany Republic, which is used for Russia Republic, for one example among others). It's annoying and I'd like to know if you have a way to fix it.

Ok, first, sorry for the insulting comments when I wasn´t able to install the mod, but now am here to help, I think you need to change a bit Latin American History
*During the war against the Peru-Bolivian confederation,Chile attacks the PCB because they want antofagasta, this isn´t historically true, Chile actually fought THE SAME WAR that North Peru did (the one with the wargoal of seceding fom the PCB), so I think you should change the event of the war against the PCB Like this:
1st event: Peru gets the option to seccede from the PBC or continuing being part of it
2nd event: If Peru chooses secceding: Chile gets an event to get an alliance with North Peru and helping them to get released, when this happens, the war breaks out, or either refuse to help them, so Peru gets an subsequent event letting them choose between keep on the PBC or declaring war by themselves
If Peru chooses to be part of the PCB: Chile and Argentina get an event to get an alliance and declare war on the PCB to reunite peru
3rd event: Argentina gets the event to liberate Jujuy ONLY if Chile agreed to help Peru

*This is one thing that really ****** me off, the Franco-Mexican war never happens, not even if the US is at Civil War, France has Napoleon the Turd on power and Mexico has a liberal Gov, it NEVER HAPPENS, I think you need to add that, and the subsequent dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz (who almost made Mexico a GP)
*When the Confederation wins the Argentinan war, the capital stays on Paraná (nonsense), they should get a decision to move it to Buenos Aires
*ITALY NEVER UNIFIES, you see I have seen Scandinavia unifying twice, but in this mod I haven´t seen Italy unifying once, ther´s sth wrong there

Well here´s the problem:
The loosers are winning too much, I know this isn´t necessary a full Historical mod, I know this has a lot of AltHis, but you know, this is excessive
*China always wins the Opium War
*Austria always wins the Second Italian War of Independence and the Austro Prussian war, cause, you know THEIR AMOUNT OF TROOPS IS TOO DAMN HIGH, they have an excessive amount of troops for a country that never used that many
*There are too many socialists in Germany, they always end winning and exiling the Kaiser
*Belgium and the Dutch NEVER get to an agreement
*The Ottos always get to fight France during the oriental crisis, althought France defeats Turkey, The other GP make the ehyptian surrender happen
*I have seen the PBC winning like 4 times, event with all Chile, North Peru, Argentina and even ******* BRAZIL being at war against them

To HPM fans I have created a sub mod of the HPM Mod. It can be found here:

There are some screen shots there.

I have done the following:
1. Researched the starting Militaries of all nations (Army and Navy) and leading historical generals. Put in the Regiment names.
2. Created new units such as I Battalion regiments or III Battalion Regiments, Honour guards Half Battalions of 500 men etc. The basic I battalion regiment has 1000 men. Also Naval ratings in the age of sail at the beginning.
3. Coded in over 2000 historical characters as Scientists, Artists, Monarchs Chiefs Rajahs and Generals. Created 'Nobles' where you can see various rulers as they live and die once you conquer their lands.
4. Increased the variety of last names for European cultures
5. Fixed the naval names for ships for most countries.
6. Changed Transcaucasia back to Chechenya etc.
7. Finland made a satellite of Russia
8. Kuban changed province border
9. Removed Chinese Ambans
10. Semper victor allowed me to use his portraits and I have used these for commanders where he did them and also I completed doing graphical culture folders due to the bug in Vic that wont allow French commanders for France etc but uses generic European ones. I included folders for Britain, Minor German, Prussian, Austrian, USA, Italian, Scandinavian, Benelux, French and Balkan leaders for the European graphical culture. You would copy the items in those folders into the leaders folder under gfx/interface/leaders - so if your playing the Austrians you would copy the dds files from the Austrian Player folder into the main leaders folder and when you play you will have Semper's Austrian portraits for your leaders.
