In "The Hidden", players choose the role of either a near invisible killer, Subject 617, or one member of an Intercept squad who have to capture him, I.R.I.S. In the simple but challenging gameplay of an 'one against all'? mode, Subject 617 creeps/sneaks through the maps armed only with a knife and three pipe bombs. The IRIS team carry a selection of weaponry, fully customisable at round start, from F2000 assault rifles through to shotguns or sub machine guns as well as a pistol as a secondary weapon. However, they can hardly see Subject 617 as, just like the 'Predator', only the outline of his silhouette is visible. On top of that the Hidden also moves a little faster and has many abilites such as pouncing, wall grabbing, corpse pinning and the fatal pigsticker attack. Therefore co-operation is necessary for I.R.I.S. if they wish to prevail (if they dont want to become the prey/victim themselves). Ooook, here's the facts - we are in the final, final stages of getting Beta 2 out of the door. Our internal time scale is to have a complete feature lockdown and implementation by midnight Sunday GMT (October 2nd), with a week or so of testing and bashing it after that.

Basically, we're aiming for a release in a fortnight on Friday (October 14th) - I'm currently ironing out the bugs in the spectator system as best as possible, it's useable but it has the odd crazy moment which I'd like to get rid of. While I'm doing that, Deemo is working on prettying up the spectator HUD and other little general odds and ends, with RickyC fixing up Overrun and also lending a hand with any other bits and pieces.

The art team is all wrapped up - they've reworked some of the maps slightly, our total count is now 14, though that includes 2 tutorials and 3 clones for Overrun. We have a fairly full suit of custom textures and models, even down to barrels and dumpsters(approx 90% in all levels). Watch this space kiddies...
