Halo - The Unseen Wars Mod for Battlefield 2142 Announcement news

Hello there everyone. This here, is the first news post for Halo - The Unseen Wars, it's purpose is to announce and explain what the mod is about, and to generally create interest,

Halo – The Unseen Wars Is a total conversion for Battlefield 2142. It replaces the PAC and EU, with the UNSC and the Covenant. It is based on the Halo video game series, and on the Halo novels. It is an online multiplayer game, that is set in the large scale battles between the UNSC and Covenant that you did not get to see in the games, but read about in the books.

• Conquest mode
• Titan mode (With elements from the Halo universe)
• UNSC and Covenant as playable sides
• All new weapons and upgrades
• Driveable vehicles from the Halo universe
• All new maps, on Halo itself, in Covenant ships, and on UNSC controlled planets.

The section above, taken from the mods profile sums up very briefly what the mod is about. There is of course, much more to it, which will be revealed as the mod develops. But the main concept or driving force behind The Unseen Wars, is to create an effect, where it feels like you are a Joe Bloggs soldier, fighting in huge battles, with the freedom you never got in the Halo games. Suddenly you are dropped into the seat of a Pelican pilot, and are transporting your team mates across the map, to back up a fire squad in a Warthog that are already there. Or perhaps the part I'm most excited about, is playing as a Grunt, fuel rod cannon in hand, waiting for a UNSC tank to turn up. Being able to play as 7 different soldiers from the two factions offers huge variety, and great visuals.
