So...it's been 7 months since I ended development on Cold Shift.
I'm saying it now, Cold Shift is NOT coming back. Sorry. I'm only making this post on the Cold Shift page to let more people know about what I'll be up to in the Half-Life modding community. If I made this post on my own profile page it'd get way less views and I know there exist people out there that want to know what I'm gonna be making. Yeah, surprising isn't it..
Don't worry I'll be archiving this page after a certain amount of time passes after this post.
So as I've stated before, an abridged Half-Life (Half-Life Mini or whatever) is one of my next plans...well it was. The past couple of weeks though I've been working on another Half-Life expansion-esque mod like Cold Shift but no Arctic setting at the end and (hopefully) no shitty level design. I'm gonna be realistic and set a 2021 release date for this although it could be way earlier or way later than that given my completely random track record.
I'm gonna work on these side-by-side. Mini Half-Life will most likely be done first as the entire point of the mod is to be short. Hopefully I can get it out by late 2020.
Speaking of which, I can't believe it's almost 2020. I started out in this community with a Crack-Life-ish mod in early 2016...that'll be FOUR YEARS AGO soon! Man it's crazy how time flies. In early 2016 I was in Year 8 at school, now I'm in college. I've moved house twice, made and lost a bunch of friends and, most relevantly, been involved with this amazingly talented community. I'm so excited to get back into this and hopefully in the coming months and years I can finally make a full Half-Life 1 mod like I've always wanted to.
For what may be the last time for a while, NintyFan out.
Sucks Cold Shift got canned, but I am looking forward to your future projects! Best of luck, bud!
