I was the original creator of the liberty city conversion. I joined redspikes mod understanding that they had a multiplayer component ready for me to stick the maps into. Also programs which they lied about that could switch between two IMG archives.
But all the promises were soon figured to be lies and I left the team and gave the source to two different parties, one of which closed their doors back in 2004.
The other team has completed a version and another on the way with missions. No online as the team was not going for that game play.

This mod is dead for a long time now. I can tell u guys whot happend (I know it all since I'm ArtiGamer)
RedSpike whas a liar, he told evryone he is hard at work on its mod while he whas busy with his real life and dident give a **** about the team. The team ofcouse whasnt happy to see that. And left gta-wo. They splitted into 2 teams, GTA-LC and a underground project bringing the 2 citys together.
GTA-LC is a mod that replaces VC with LC, its already done you can search for it at google.
While the other mod (where I whas working like a year on by now) Will ADD Liberty City to Vice City, the story line is as followd:
"Fido remembers the old days when his tong whas bitten off and wants to take revenge for the guy who did this, and the guy who did this whas tommy vercety. He trys to do missions so he gets enough money for a ticket to vice city, when he gets finally to vice city tommy hears about this and trys to kill him ofcourse."
If you finally end all the 30 missions you will unlock multiplayer ability. You will hear more about this mod later.
