The year is 2029. Liberty City is a dystopian megalopolis that lives under the rule of a corrupt police state where organized crime thrives and ordinary citizens are trampled under the boots of armored LCPD divisions.
Niko Bellic, a detective from the police force in Neo-Vladivostok, has transferred to the Blade Runner unit in Liberty City in the hopes of bringing the replicant Darko Brevich to justice. His investigative methods are unorthodox, and he soon finds himself working undercover among some of the city’s most dangerous criminals in his search to uncover the whereabouts of the escaped replicant— the same one who betrayed his squad during the Third Terran War.
