The newest alpha for the Fallout 3 original TC is now on ModDB!
Grey Sky is an open world shooter inspired by GSC Gameworld's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. You explore the abandoned town of Clear Fortune, as you attempt to avoid the military presence there, figure out what caused the strange explosion in the center of town one year ago, and most of all, survive. Grey Sky implements many new gameplay features original to Fallout 3, including a new system of bleeding damage, a need to eat and sleep, an immersive HUDless health display, bizarre spatial anomalies, and a Commentary Mode system like the one found in Valve's The Orange Box.
Watch our mod to receive news updates/development info, and for upcoming coverage visit The-kids-table.blogspot.com.
What to look for in the next release? For those of you too impatient to just be happy with this for now, next time you can expect expansion of the worldspace, addition of new locations, possibly addition of enemies and NPCs and the beginnings of Commentary Mode.
Don't forget to comment!

Looks rather interesting, I just might buy Fallout3 just for this :)
Fallout 3's a good game anyway.

I wouldn't recommend it.
I would, I finished Fallout 3 in two days, I was about to uninstall it, but I decided to look for mods, now I've been playing for two months, and I have over 200 mods.
What? Did you even read what he said?
Did you? Cause his response was pretty valid if you did. Then again, you think Fallout 3 is a bad game so we can't entirely be sure of your mental stability can we?
I was replying to the guy saying he would buy the game solely to play this mod.
@VAKinc Just because he dislikes fallout 3... you attack him?.. the hell man.
Look fallout 3 isn't the best game ever made, its mediocre, it has a terrible story but the gameplay makes up for it- Modders alone have made the game soo much better than the original developers had done prior (which just proves how terrible Bethesda are at making good games, but good at developing editors for others to take a crack at it.)- I enjoy what the mod community is producing more than what bethesda has done.. so his comments are justifiable.
There's no need to flame because he didn't like the game. I hate fanbois.
I don't dislike Fallout 3, that's the funny part. I dislike this mod, so I told the guy I wouldn't recommend buying Fallout 3 just to play it.
I mean don't get me wrong, the idea is great, but the mod is nowhere near complete.
you didnt do all side missions, mainstory is easy but side storys is like for ever
It looks good, but I don't know why on earth you would a game JUST for this. I mean it looks good, but not 50 DOLLARS good. if you don't like the game you're buying, then don't buy it b/c u see ONE free mod that comes out for it. really now. use some common sense
yea they need to ring the housing agency for sure.... unless the road is on council property. that might explain the difference in upkeep !
Well... It's not like I'm gonna buy fallout 3 ( again ) only for this mod.
Let me start off by saying: "You can make it look good, only by words". It means; you make it the way you say it. And with that I mean: You have made a good trailer, but i does not show us anyting then you walking around this 300 x 300 m field with some houses, road signs, trees and green grass. Don't know if it's just me, but that does not tell me a squat.
What i recomend is ( I will admit I do not often make mods for fallout; so therefor i dont know how to do this and dont ask me... ):
Make some new roads ( flatter and smaller )
Make the terrain more ruffer ( Ex: Small hilltops for the houses and some random errosions around ) PS: Look like to me that you are covering this up by putting alot of grass into the mod...
If you are thinking BIG, you can make disticts ( like one that is totally ruined, half destroyed and still standing ( Whith this I can say that all of the houses look like the same )
And last: A new sky ( night and day ). "why" do you think? Trust me, it will make the mod look more... "personlized".
PPS: I know it's a alpha, but you wanted comments; now you get.
looks interesting. will have to try it out. what can we expect in the alpha?
The video reminds me of an old Twilight Zone episode. It definitly has that feel to it.

you guys want fallout 3? go to pirate bay. get the one by RELOADED. works great!
how bout u stfu and get a job
fallout 3 is too good of a game not to want to throw your money at it.
its because of that mentality you had to pay for them to fix the ending.
You guys do know this is an ALPHA right?
This is alright for being in alpha. I can't wait to see what you do for the full release. It definitely needs some mountains in the distance. Good luck guys.
Congrats on release!
i just finished playing this and i overall recommend this mod it's not all that but when its full release it will have potential.
cool
now a reason to play Fallout 3 again!!!
Meh...I might have to reinstall for this.
My friend off-loaded Fallout 3 on me for my birthday because he hated it.
God knows I hated it more than he ever could. :P
This mod here might just make me stop using the disk as a coaster.
Its okay but definitely an alpha stage mod because the surrounding environment isn't even finished....and its hard to find the next place, I only got to the *spoiler*military bunker because I was wandering....
Umm...
look like fallout3 ever has a tree...(without in oasis and point lookout)
waiting for the final release...
that looks nice, perhaps i will put it back on my drive
