Report RSS The Edge Worlds Conflict

The most infamous faction of the Edge Worlds, the Order, have been secretly exploring and reverse-engineering alien technology for decades. In the following article, we’ll see how this seemingly small fact affected Edge Worlds factions of higher political influence.

805 A.S: a raid of Outcatst hit Omicron Minor (the Order's home system), leaving them in a complete surprise. Outgunned, the Order’s men managed to get rid of the Outcasts, baring their latest Border World series Halbreds fully armed with high-end weapons. Nevertheless, the Outcasts have managed to pull out a prototype of the Order’s new cloaking device made for public marketing and manufacturing.
Reverse-engineering the piece of legendary technology, the Outcasts have managed to create a ship capable of equipping a cloaking device: Border World series KZ "Scimitar". Soon enough, the Outcasts’ waves of piracy in the Border Worlds became unbarable, as their new raiders cloaked away after getting what they came for.

807 A.S: Showing the greatest interest, having a history of using cloaking devices, Rheinland secretly invaded the Edge Worlds. Boosting up with their new Very Heavy Fighter “Waffe” designed for surviving the Edge Worlds, and the “Behemoth” armored trooper carrier, two Rheinland fleets made their way into Omicron Alpha where all the manufacturing progress was made. Surprisingly enough, the Outcasts were well prepared, and only half a fleet made it back.
The successors managed to steal one copy of the Scimitar with the cloaking device. Reverse-engineering it, Rheinland’s engineers adopted the technology for it being user-friendlier and more reliable than their old devices. The adoption of new technology created a new ship class named “Stealth Fighter”, for its capabilities to fly past hostile territories undetected and strategically using the capability of disappearing in mid-fight.

At the same time, Liberty captured a Scimitar equipped with a cloaking device trying to invade Alaska, and adopted the technology too.

The conflict between the Order and the Outcasts lasts as they keep trying to raid the Order’s domain hopelessly, whilst the Order hold their guard ever since the incident.
