Full release of the Reversal version 5 juice (source) files.
Released far too late but at least not at all! The reason this was so badly delayed is that I had plans to include a tutorial on hex editing, but at this point I think its better to just get the source files out in the wild and worry about tutorials later (if at all). Anyone truly interested in the magic behind that, I would encourage you to do a file comparison on some of the mission files or models that were changed and trace those changes. If I get the opportunity for a proper guide in the future I will try and lay out the steps for that, but no guarantees. Sorry.
This package contains all of the .juice files (source code) used to make Version 5 of the Reversal mod. Files for all 3 modes are included, along with some ancillary source files for UI projects and the like.
A comprehensive readme file has been included that details the where, how and why for all the files and their format changes done in the mod, please refer to that if you have any questions. This source release will be as-is and while I will help with issues if I see questions, I can't guarantee that anymore either.
Please note that while all of the .juice files are in here, the assets are not. Everything is present to compile the same .ice files as version 5, but in order to use them (as they are) you'll need version 5 itself installed. By "assets" I mean all of the textures, mission files, images, particle effects, and so forth. If you need any of those unpacked then just extract them from the R5 release using WinSDF (which is included in that package as well).
If you extract the entire Reversal 5 sdf and then copy the source files from this package into the right directories, you'll have all the exact same files I do. The reason for this was to not force someone who only wanted the juice files for reference to have to download the entire mod package again. Further details are in the readme for this if you need them.
The readme also has a section about using mod assets or the juice code, the short version is: Go ahead and use anything you want, just mention it your credits and choose a different name than Reversal for your mod.
This should also - hopefully - mark the end of the project. Its been a long road, but I'm proud of how well the final result has turned out. I also hope this source release proves helpful to some of the people reading this.
Enjoy!

Thank you for your work! I always wanted to play as the Terrans, and your mod does that and more!
Hello everyone. i just want to test, so it seems the commentsection works^^
I tried to download ground control 2 terran mod but somehow it doesnt work. only files show but no install menu what so ever. how can i fix the problem?
i tried to download version 5 from 2021
There is no installer, you just need to unpack the files from the .zip archive and place them into your game directory. Once you've done that, check the "Reversal 5 Readme" file (its an .html so it should open in your web browser) for step by step instructions, workarounds for common use-cases and just general information.
Hello again. thx for the fast reply. but i still have problems.
its not possibly to unpack something, if i click there only writings ( you wanna pack into zip ?). so zip is not possible.
secondly i put nsa vs terrans etc. datas into gc2 files.... still not working.
Writing: Failed to load game data.
what i did wrong ?
have a nice sunday
It sounds like you've got the mod's data files in the wrong place. Go into your game's root directory (where gcii.exe is) and make sure that's where you put the .sdf files such as "gc2reversal5.sdf" - there's one for each of the three modes. If they're sitting one level down in a different directory then you just need to move them over and it should work. Put the batch (.bat) files there as well, and then it should be as simple as starting the game by hitting enter one on of those.
Also make sure you downloaded the mod (from 2021 like you said) and not the source, if you can't find any .sdf then you might have the wrong package. This here is the download page for the source files and not the actual mod so hopefully that isn't the source of your problems!
