GTX is a graphic mod developed for Doom3 and Quake4 that enhance the game experience with
new graphic effects never seen before in the game. This is the profile page of GTX for Quake 4.
GTX is projected to run on the standard (vanilla) campaign of Quake 4 and on custom SP/MP maps, also, it doesn't use a custom interaction.vfp so you can combine GTX with other graphic mod like the Parallax mapping mod or the Brilliant highlights mod (both not included into GTX) or many others.
There are two main editions of GTX: GTX for Doom 3 (G T X D3) and GTX for Quake 4 (G T X Q4), you are now looking at G T X Q4 profile page.

From now on GTX Q4 and GTX D3 will have separated profile here on Moddb.com. The new profile page for GTX D3 is located here: Moddb.com I'll update there any screenshots and downloads of GTX for Doom3 leaving here only pics and files of GTX for Quake 4.
Also, this page (GTX Q4 profile page) will change its url from the actual Moddb.com to Moddb.com in a couple of week.
An update to the official mod website is also scheduled for the end of the year.

I dont know why but even after powerng up flashlight to cast all shadows it does not work.
works ok.
the graphics used to suck compared to doom 3's. but this mod is nice. but try to compete with parallax extreme. the only thing that keeps this mod alive is the bloom. but the doom 3 version is better.
this mod doesnt suck. blame quake 4 for sucking at graphics compared to doom 3.

Well, the GTX mod is intended to works with other graphics mods, like the Parallax mapping mod or the Brilliant highlights mod, so there are no reason to "compete" with them ;)

Has there been any progress on 1.0 for D3?
A bug I had with the 1.5 beta was that the pistol's bullets made impact below the crosshair, will this be fixed in 1.0?
I.O.S. you have right, in GTX D3 1.0 I'll make an add-on for enabling self-shadows on any character, as i done for GTX Q4 1.0 ;)
