Ubi updated the game, and now the language files are read from a separate patch. If you have an up to date legit version, you need to manually unpack patch and patch_chn, and add the languages folder from Redux, then repack these files. If you are using an offline "backup" of FC4, you're good to go.

This, like all my Redux mods is an immersion focused "new game +" expeirence. No tagging, seeing through walls, etc. Most of the HUD and UI is removed.
- Manual reloads
- No Lens Flares
- Holster weapons (H to holster, "aim" to draw)
- Player jumps a little higher
- Player walks a little slower
- Player does NOT auto draw their weapon after swimming, leaving a building, etc.
- All weapons unlocked from the start, but must be purchased.
- Towers remove the fog of war, but do not give free weapons
- Full map is open from the start
- Mod removes most UI elements not covered by the options menu, including mine and c4 indicators, and the crouch icon. I recommend turning off everything but loot readout, as well as disabling blinking items in the interface menu.
- More attachments for weapons
- Higher weapon FOV for all weapons
- The "87" is now a standard sidearm, and the reflex sight has been removed.
- The D2 features wood furniture by default, and has two shots
- The range of some weapons has been increased.
- Headshot damage has increased
- Most inputs are now "press" instead of "hold".
More info
- You must start a new game, or use the included save file to experience the mod as intended. Many features will not work with existing saves.
- The Karma Point display bug has not been fixed yet. Leave it set to "on" in the interface menu.
What's not finished
- Removing the friendly fire penalty. This was figured out in FC5, but so far no one knows how to remove the instant kill penalty from shooting too many friendlies. If you know how to do this, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I will give you full credit!
- Some vehicle FOVs have not yet been altered.

I didn't directly do much to change difficulty. Headshots do more damage, and you have to manually reload. I think that's all that's changed that would make it "harder".

What is it that you want from the mod? The UI/HUD removal is so spread out and random that it's impossible to explain.

I just wanted the HUD and UI as it is in vanilla, without andything removed. I want to be able to mark enemies and see them marked through walls and such.
I love every other change besides the HUD/UI.

This contains a file that may still overwrite button prompts. I recommend copying everything over, but if you wish to restore everything, don't copy the "languages" folder to your patch_hd.

I am unsure as to how this mod works with the ultrawide aspects. I didn't change anything with the .dll or .exe, so any hacks/injectors you've used in the past should still work.

I unziped the files and copied them in the data_win32 folder with and without the save file. But after a few seconds in the menu the game crashes.

I've never heard of this mod crashing in the menu.

For Redux, the intention is to remove as much UI and HUD as possible. So I won't really be messing with that kind of stuff.
If you wanted to, you'd just need to unpack the graphics files and replace the icons. You could make anything appear in the top left when missions are complete.
When the game starts, the virtual memory is loaded at 100% and the game crashes. Without mod the game works. Far Cry 4 version 1.10. gtx1070 ti 8gb amd phenom II x4 965 12gb RAM DDR3 swap file 12gb. help :(

but what would make it better is, removing the altitude alarm on those personal helicopters (buzzer), that gets annoying fast, obviously you would have to make it not stall too, this addition to your mod would be truly epic and go a long way to making far cry 4 way better

having a problem, i add patch_hd.fat and patch_hd.dat to my data_win32 folder in fc4. When i launch the game it has the starting windowed box, then goes to a black screen to load and then crashes. What do?? (this is the same for all mods i try to install)
If you will find a way to remove the Eagles this will be PERFECT chief
That's not a goal of this mod, but you can easily combine the no eagles mod with this by extracting both mods, and combining the necessary folder.

I don't think I did anything that would change colors. Tinker with the gamma/brightness/contrast in your options menu.

Unfortunately, the model fov (neardegrees) has to be done for each weapon individually. It's a bummer...
For most weapons, I raised the value by 20, some 15, some 25. Ironsight fovs are also separate, and I made some errors in there that cause the game to look a little weird.
As for the Camera FOV, I raised the base level via the ark.fcb, so things like legs/feet/body are more visible, and interactions that normally revert the FOV to default are not so intense. Climbing, for example.
Schrotflinte12 did a lot of good work normalizing view model FOVs, and his mod is a great reference - Nexusmods.com

I already tried his mod, but I wish I could modify the FOV with my prefered one...
And he don't explains how to modify the body's fov, or the revertion to the base one, like you saied.
He says that we can modify it with the "CompatibilityFiles.zip" optional download, but the weapon's files in this one aren't named like in the "patch_hd.fat". So I can't replace the good files.
Here's an example :
One of the file in the "CompatibilityFiles.zip" folder is named "7681075852019.ark.fcb"
One of the corresponding files in the "patch_hd.fat" uncompressed folder is named "0A4BBC15C34D5473.fcb"
I don't know if it's clear enough to be understandable...
The ark.fcb file names should never change. IF they do, there's an error happening somewhere, or you might be looking at a different model/skin/instance of the same weapon.

Which version of FC4 are you playing? Legit, pirated? What language, etc.
I tested the new upload with the current Uplay version and it worked.
Playing a legit copy off of Steam, English. Same results through Uplay. Not entirely sure what version it is since I can't get to the menu and don't know where else to look, but I'm confident it's whatever is the most recent since I keep all my games up to date. The game worked fine prior so I'm not sure if it's a problem with my computer, but if you need I can grab system specs too. Lemme know.
Don't know if it's actually worth noting but your Redux mod for FC3 works fine. (It's quite lovely too)

There is only one tiny difference in this newest release. It shouldn't cause any crashes. Tested with the newest English Uplay release.
I assume the patch files are the same regardless of where you get them, but maybe not.
Just gave that a shot. Still the same issue, but I did actually get an error message the first time I tried to start it up again, which hasn't happened before or since. I took a screenshot of it but I lost it, and I'm not sure what it said. I do remember something trying to reference "0x0000000000000000," and not being able to do so. I only remember that because I had to count the zeros.
Notably, the game usually makes it to the second loading screen with the Golden Path kukri logo now. It typically didn't before and now does so consistently. I've also seen it reach the title, but only for a brief moment.

I haven't tried it with an older version of the game, I just meant that it worked prior to the mod, my bad.
I was thinking that it's trying to access something during the intro skip that isn't there and that's what's causing the crash, just based off of what I remember about the error message. If I get it again I'll tell you what it said.
