hey kedaffa, if you're still interested: I tested the mod on two old laptops. one using an ati mobility radeon x300 (64mb vram) and the other one using an intel 915GM/GMS,910GML express (128 vram). Both worked perfectly, so you shouldn't worry.

but when i play the game with/without your mod , the game is only 16:9 on the menu , and has black bars when i play

unfortunately those "cinemascope" black bars are part of the game, even if you force a 16:9 aspect ratio you won't make them dissapear. it's all made for giving you the impression you're watching a movie

the video was recorded at 2560x1792 (2k) and downscaled to 1280x720 (720p), which let me hide the black bars (making zoom) without loosing sharpness or detail

there's not a hack or anything to disable the black bars (and even if you find some way, the game will likely crash or give you lots of graphical bugs, it's simply made to work that way)

sure, but you need to tell me what did you do after the installation. did you follow the steps written at the end of the setup?
If you did so and the HD mod doesn't work, delete the "xxxxxxxxxxxx_Fahrenheit.txt" (the "x" can be any number, they vary depending of each computer) file from the folder "templates\auto_save\", and try to follow the steps again.

I'll write the steps here in case you couldn't read them:

If this is the first time you install the demo:

-Launch the game from the desktop or the start menu
-Press Alt+Tab for minimize the game
-Go to the window called uMod
-Right click in the big white rectangle and left click in the option "Support TPF-Mods"
-Right click in the big white rectangle and left click in the option "Open texture/package"
-Select the file "BigFile_PC.dat.zip" from the main game folder
-If nothing goes wrong, you'll get two consecutive messages saying "here" and "add"
-Go back to the game and enjoy!

NOTE: Once you made this, there's no need to do it again.

What is the window called uMod? I don't understand, nothings coming up when i alt tab

uMod is the program that replaces the original textures. it should open automatically with the game
if alt+tab doesn't work, try pressing Control+Alt+Del and then opening the task manager; that should minimize the game and let you configure the uMod window

hmm that's weird. works perfectly for me using windows 8, the lastest drivers and an older nvidia gpu...
there must be some visual extension that your PC doesn't want to show. try using the lastest version of the uMod software here:
Texmod.googlecode.com

note: the lastest version uses a different texture system and it may not be as optimized for the game. if you get ~3 fps during gameplay, you'll have to disable the front-buffer effects in the options menu

I just try it on Windows 8 x64, works fine ! There's few slowdowns but it's not a big problem. The game is beautiful and I wan't see final result :)

the setup installs the game on your user folder (the one that has your name in it), inside the folders "\AppData\Roaming\Rudolf Arch\FahrenheitHDMODdemo\"; but you can move the folder wherever you want
