Enhanced Combat Leader: Beyond Overlord Is a total conversion both single (you can play the single players campaign and a special tutorial) and multi-player game modification for Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts that emphasizes tactical combat, realism, and historical accuracy by allowing players to command and deploy company size forces throughout the Normandy Overlord Campaign, players get to create and command authentic WW II Battalion Level formations. Through the advantages of the Relic essence engine players can enjoy a new game experience with many dynamic features that emphasize tactical command and control and exploits the dynamic elements of the living soldiers system by providing player squads many new ability enhancements which allow players to execute advanced tactical combat strategies, players can also execute squad level tactical orders and unit abilities in a smoother more intuitive way.

The following new units have been successfully integrated into Enhanced Combat Leader ver.2.94 latest build. Game balancing and integration has been completed on all the new units as well as all specialized data for each new unit integrated.

The 2nd Armored Division Commander tree has been revised and specialized new units added for the formation of Mechanized Calvary Troop 1944 type; M8 "Scott" assault gun; M3A1 Halftrack Mechanized Infantry Personnel Carrier; M21 MMC self-propelled mortar; M24 "Chaffee" light tank; M16 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage Self Propelled Anti-Aircraft Machine Gun.

The Vth Corps Commander tree has received M2A1 Halftrack Mechanized Calvary Personnel Carrier as a headquarters and specialized weapons carrier for its Mechanized Calvary Troop units. As well as being assigned both the M5A2 “Stuart” light tank; and the M8 "Scott" assault gun; from the Corps Independent Light tank Battalion.

21st Panzer Doctrine tree has been changed in the following ways:
