DragonBall Source is a DBZ mod for Half-Life 2's Source Engine. This mod is now a Multiplayer Mod, and not SinglePlayer like previously intended. Each character will be assigned their own specific set of attacks, with power levels balances to create fair and balanced gameplay. The main multiplayer game is a team based game with two different sub-modes, namely "Capture the Dragonballs" and "King of the Hill". The "Saiyan Saga" (first release) has been released and is currently available via the Downloads page. The next major release will be the "Namek Saga" containing even more characters and maps. There will also be more features, which will mainly focus on transformations. The new character list hasn't been decided upon yet, but there should be between 15 and 20 extra characters to choose from.

With the multiplayer version of the mod well under way, we need a way to identify friendly characters on your team and one way we've been working on is the colouring of certain attacks, and the powerup aura.

There will be 4 maximum teams in DBSource, which will be a map specific option, so the mapper can set less teams if they wish in order to force a straight team vs team game, or even a single team, if coop option is added (plans are yes on coop, but not for the first version). Mappers will also be able to select which characters appear in which team, incase a map is saga specific.

Colours happen in this order... Blue, Red, Green and Yellow.

The below image shows a member of each team powering up inside a cave (to better show the new dynamic lighting effects).

when trying to avoid enemies, an icon like that would give away your position when trying to hide in places such as trees. this way you can switch it on or off to tell people who you are.
