If you have problems with User Interface elements etc. missing, copy the following textures from DeusEx/Textures to DeusEx/NVTextures:

BobPage.utx
CoreTexDetail.utx
CoreTexWater.utx
DXFonts.utx
Extras.utx
Hangar18.utx
InfoPortraits.utx

This is temporary until I release a hotfix later today. Alternatively, just copy the contents from the NVTextures folder into your main DeusEx/Textures folder and overwrite the old textures.

Do you mean intergrated graphics like Intel GMA's? In which case they're not DirectX10 devices so it's impossible for them to run any kind of DirectX10 renderer. You'll have to use the provided OpenGL renderer instead.

DirecX10 is Vista and 7 only. If you're having trouble, just use the OpenGL renderer.

Hey, I just installed the mod and did everything in the video (although in a slightly different order) but the game doesn't seem to load the new textures. The launcher and DX10 renderer works withou issues (kudos to the launcher, now I don't have to randomly alt-tab and such to get 1080p working) but the textures seem to be unchanged.

Anyone that could help me? I forgot to start the game before installing the mod so perhaps I should "disable", start then apply it again?

I fixed it, sorry! You have to change deusex.ini in your User/AppData, I didn't see that at first.

DaveW, do you have any plans to increase more textures? 75% is a lot but I was just wondering. ;)

Aside from patching (which may introduce new textures) and collaborating with the new map fixes mod, this is as good as its going to get. You should download it now.

J/k but it would be nice to change everything that can be changed but I understand if it's too much efforts or time consuming.

I'm working on a few textures that were missing, not too many though, just ones that stand out like the billboards. Dave has gotten nearly all the important textures done. I think the important thing now is the map pack.

yay it works perfect now and it looks amazing using opengl

ok here is another way to install new vision

Step 1 : Go to your deusex system folder
Step 2 : Copy deusex.exe and deusex.ini and paste it agian
Step 3 : Rename the two files to New-Vision(or whatever you want it be be called)
Step 4 : open New-Vision.ini (or whatever you called the ini file)
Step 5 : Search For [Core.System]
Step 6 : Find line Paths=..\Textures\*.utx and rename it to Paths=..\NVTextures\*.utx (the NVTextures need to be in Deusex map not in Textures map)
Step 7 : Save the ini(Ctrl+S)
Step 8 : the most important step of all play the mod and have fun

I downloaded the earlier version of the mod before, and the increase in texture detail was amazing. This is even better, but I have some questions.

Do I just overwrite the full version over the "demo" version of the mod? Also, do I need DX10 or does it work in DX9 like the unfinished version?

you need directx 10 or kentie's opengl or textures wont work and ya you can overwrite them

DaveW Aug 15 2011, 11:19am replied:

If you're installing over the beta, it's probably easier to just copy the contents of "NVTextures" into your current "Textures" folder and overwrite everything. D3D9 will work.

Hey Neon. I'm having the exact same issue. I've got a good gaming rig with a 570 and for some reason it runs fine for about 20 seconds then the entire thing goes to about 5 fps. This includes the videos at the opening. If you've had any luck please let me know.

It turns out the game runs fine in DX10 up until the menu opens at which point the fps crashes to about 3 fps.
