Darkwind RPG - A Hero's Tale is a usermade mod for the well known game Warcraft III the Frozen Throne. This mod will take the player away from the standard strategic real time game and throw him into a 3rd person, isometric filmed roleplay game. Many unique features, custom models, advanced scripting and a interesting story will make Darkwind RPG to an experience you should not miss. The first versions will be released as singleplayer. Multiplayer version(s) will follow, but differ in some features because of the limitations set by the Warcraft III engine itself.

I'm practising 2.5D modelling. Here you'll see a tree like I'll use them in Darkwind RPG.
So is 2.5D the modeling program? I looked it up because I never heard of it before.
Looks nice, only suggestion I can think of would be to add some inner roots/tree at the base of the trunk that go all the way down into the ground. So it doesn't look like the tree is floating unless you bury it a bit down.
The program is called 3DS Max 5.x. 2.5D modelling is a technique that consists of 3d models in combination with textured planes. Its a way to save vertices on the one hand and increasing quality through high resolution textures.
