Today's news update centres around the fantastic city assets that were created for CryRecon a few months ago by talented Crymod community modeller SideShowBob. He has recently begun texture work on this large collection of assets and we would like to present some early in-game renders from the first few finished buildings. We will be bringing you more updates on these at a later date. Many thanks to SideShowBob for his great contribution to CryRecon! You may also view the entire collection of so far un-textured buildings he has created for CryRecon by watching the slide-show below.

Is that a Mitsubishi external condenser I can see?
Really nice work though.
You might wanna tell SideShowBob that can't be Pyongyang. Not only are all the "signs" in Chinese, they're complete gibberish.
Let me translate your "signs" to English: "fdhshiv hsavhsvh shshvu huvfs gfkdj"
Learn to use google trans if you can't find someone who knows Korean.
Yes we are fully aware of this. The """signs""" will be changed to Korean for release. This was just for testing the actual textures before we switch to the Korean language support kit to finalize them.
Sorry to say, but North Korea actually never uses any chinese letters.
They always tries to change loanword into their own North Korean Language (aka Pyongyang-Mal) as an part of their "Juche Ideology".
Due to this fact, even the north korean depicted in the original CRYSIS was wrong, becaused it was written by South Korean Language.
Beside that, I like the scenery.
Hi Sys2408, as I said in the comment above the signs are being completley re-written in Korean. Whether or not we can support the full version of the NK language itself is yet to be seen due largely to no font support. However at the very least all signs will be in the standard South Korean language. Unfortunately with no native speaking North Korean team members this may be as much as we can achieve on this front whether it is realistic or not.
Sorry for missing your comment.
Anyway, It's good to hear that you will transfer it to Korean.
South and North Korean Language are just slightly different, so there will be no problem at all.
Thanks, and I'm really looking forward to play the mod.
No problem, and thank you for the info on the differences between the two, you seem knowledgeable on the dialect, are you by any chance Korean yourself? If so please feel free to get in-touch with me if you would like to assist the mod with ensuring we get the language correct.
