Is anyone working on an extractor for Mafia v1.3 the fix needed to play the game in windows 10? I will buy it.
It worked for me on windows 10 64bit. Plus its not for V1.3 patch its for the rw_data.dll I downloaded a mod from here and it fixed it. That file isn't included in the patch. Plus you gotta tweak the settings to make it load for some reason.
Goto the installation folder of Mafia 1, run the SETUP.EXE file. And try the following settings:
Change the resolution to 800x600
Turn off fullscene antialiasing
Turn off truecolor for lightmap quality/size
Turn on compressed textures
Turn on Low detail
I am attempting to force AA and other things in Nividia control panel but haven't really messed with it yet. Hope this helps it loaded the game up and crashed once. But I have played two missions without crashing again.
sadly this mod does not work on anyone using windows 10 and then mafia 1 fix patch for windows 10 :/ since when i start the game i reach main menu but once i click new game it just closes down and thats all it does :/ so yeah only works on those bellow windows 8 or 10 i guess :(

I have the Steam version of Mafia ... and as far as I can tell the mod functionality is incomplete: Is this solely a 'racing' mod? The mod manual indicates that there is a lot more to do other than to race....but in the main menu of Mafia, all I am able to do with this mod installed is enter races.
Is Cosa Nostra mod incompatible with Mafia steam version? What version of Mafia (1.0, 1.1, 1.2) does it require?
I have been unable to get this mod working with Mafia version 1.2 (either the Steam version OR the 3 CD version). I have Windows 7. Mafia works fine in Windows 7 but I can't get the Cosa Nostra mod functioning:
When I start the Cosa Nostra mod -- it says to 'insert the correct disc.' I tried all 3 discs and nothing happened.
