The Command & Conquer: Alternate Universe will bring you to a different way of battle against each of the 12 Faction. Each faction has it's own ability to eliminate it enemies within short range, medium range & long range capability.
For the NOD i gave it a Soviet shader and for the Scrin i gave it a Japan shader or so for the GDI i give it a allied shader.Just like you say they were missing HC from what i see so far, maybe some of it missing else well.
There are few tricks to turn it on (unless you already aware of it, you can skip all what I'm going to say xD ), at least from my experince in modding KW, you need to edit the textures to fit the hc, you can use max to add one, and can even impert shader from other c&c game and use it (though it may won't work well or at all), I never moded ra3 so I don't sure what the best method but it should be more or less the same as KW afaik, (also make sure that in the object xml the HC is set to true)
So far all the images shows the HC are missing, what shader you gave Nod? their shader was buggy in TW as well when it come to HC
