Side Ops are companion campaigns to the original C&C that explore what was going on at the other fronts during the GDI and Nod campaigns. The main campaigns have 13 missions in total, with an epilogue for both sides. There will be an expansion pack, in 'Covert Ops' style, in the near future. Expertly designed series of levels that invokes the feeling of the classic Westwood vanilla mission design to a T. While playing through the Red Alert counterpart of these Side Ops missions I actually started to ponder whether GotAPresentForYa was an actual former Westwood employee.

The missions are varied and well balanced to the point it would make Thanos himself proud. Enough to provide a challenge but not so overbearing and trial-and-errory that some of the vanilla missions could be where you would also often struggle with a lack of Tiberium, which is not the case here.

There was one mission which I struggled with a bit where you needed to escort an uncontrollable person to a church, and he would tend to run headfirst into a flame tank and get torched. On a subsequent playthrough though he would just run right past all the enemies without them shooting back and I'd get mission accomplished almost by default. But hey, that's escort missions for you.

Apart from a couple of typos in the briefings these missions are spotless and will provide many hours of good ol' commanding & conquering.
