COD4: "Rooftops" Campaign Alpha Testing is over and I will explain how and when Main Release will happen.

Posted by on

I am proud to announce that the Closed Alpha testing for my COD4: "Rooftops" Campaign was successful.
People found plenty bugs, mostly minor ones, and most of them are already fixed. I have to let you people know that there will be a Closed Beta too. It will be more closed than the alpha which means that fewer people will have access to it. The Beta will be made so we can test if Easter Eggs are working fine and if Alpha fixes did indeed work.

All this means, that the Main Release will NOT take place on August 31. There will be one more delay. But please read what I have to say below.

I know it looks like I am delaying the Main Release on purpose and that it feels like I am testing your patience but it's nothing like that. I want you guys to have as less problems as possible on the Main Release, so I have to make sure that everything works fine before I give it to you. I am trying to do it as player friendly as I can. I also have some exams going on. They really came up the worst time. So I will need a few more weeks before I give the Main Release to public. Besides, I will have to do a Launch Trailer for it which needs some more days.

To conclude, I re-arrange the Main Release Date on September 17, 2016. Again I am so sorry for the huge delay, I am sure you can understand what's going on, I thank you very much for your patience and I really hope I get it ready in time so you people can play it.

It makes sense to have least amount of problems on release. And the delay isn't really that bad. I can say that the campaign is very well polished.

It is better to delay to have working and good game than release some broken crap like most of the developers do these days.
