A "Gameplay Preview" of the DMO Race...
Tested, it works, even with 10 of the DMO race on a massive map.
Still one or two small graphical bugs I need to iron out, if you spot them, let me know what they are so I can fix them :3

Alpha test version 0.11 "Gameplay Preview"
List of modifications: (Note: all modifications are mad to the TEC race, effecting neutral parties and pirates as well... Advent and Vasari races unmodified)
- TEC replaced with Dark Matter Organization for now
- DMO AI player names added
- DMSF Capital Ship names added, Roman, Greek, and Egyptian gods and goddesses mostly.
- All Laser weaponry replaced with auto cannons, or Gauss (Capital ships and star bases only)
- Carrier capital ship, carrier cruiser, and hangar defense max squadrons increased, fighter and bomber strength reduced as compensation.
- All shielding removed, Hull points, armor, and hull repair rate doubled to compensate, feedback appreciated.
- Planetary Shield module, and Anti Fighter frigate removed, Support capital ship modified to fill in for anti fighter role.
- Support Capital Ship shield restore ability modified to repair hull points due to lack of shielding.
- Laser weaponry and shielding research removed
- Orbital Cannon "experimental" Module and research removed.
- Removed "Capital Ship shields are down" notification, otherwise, you would get this notification every time they were hit.
- Added an upgrade tier to Toughness, hangar, and trade star base upgrades.
- Light frigate modified to be more agile, and able to combat strike craft.

So I'm guessing you need beta testers that produce feedback?
Umm, yes, kinda the point to alpha tests, especially alpha gameplay previews.
I need feedback to make sure I'm getting the mod right... for example:
I make a mod with no shielding, and someone notices one of the ships has a shield that I didn't notice, they tell me and I fix it...
I make a mod where the race is offensively hampered, however, many people notice that it is actually offensively the superpower, Feedback in the form of notes and suggestions would help greatly there.
I cannot do this all on my lonesome, because I made the DMO, I favor it, of course I want it to be a superpower in all ways, but I need to restrain myself from doing so, so I need feedback from everyone interested in this mod, and fellow modders who can easily spot flaws.
