Chameleon English Translation Patch v1.3 file

The download is in the form of a .rar file which contains translated files for the game directory. I've managed to translate all of the game's subtitles, both in-game and cutscenes, as well as about 95% of the menus' text. There is still some Russian text in images (e.g. maps and loading screens) which I have not been able to change, but they are not vital to gameplay.

How to apply Chameleon English Translation Patch

1. Extract 'Chameleon-EnUpdate' into the game directory and select 'yes' for all conflicts.

2. Play the game!

Note:

Refer to 'English Settings' pic in the 'images' section of the mod for guidance with graphics settings.

TROUBLESHOOTING :

TROUBLE EXTRACTING?

If you encounter errors extracting Chameleon-EnUpdate directly into the Chameleon game directory:

- Extract the contents into a New Folder on your desktop.

- Copy paste the contents (TABLES and video) into the game directory,

- 'Merge' folders, and select to 'Replace' for all conflicts.

Note:

Most extraction problems I have encountered are 'permission' conflicts related to WinRar or the Program Files directory. Using 7-zip to extract the files should resolve these issues.

You could also try installing the game to a different path outside of Program Files, e.g. C:\SilverWish\Chameleon.

CHAMELEON WON'T START?

You may have to run the game as administrator. To do so, right click on Chameleon.exe in the game directory and select 'Run as administrator'.

STILL WON'T START?

With some graphics cards you will have to optimize the settings manually before starting the game for the first time.
In the game directory, scroll down and open Setup.exe (not ChameleonSetup.exe). Now select the appropriate options, especially the resolution.
Refer to 'English Settings' pic in the 'images' section of the mod for guidance.

If you still have trouble starting the game, try reinstalling it or downloading the patch again.

STILL having trouble? Bummer.

ICON MISSING?

Just blank? It can be fixed by right clicking the shortcut-properties-change icon-chameleon game directory- and select chameleon image.
