This is an unofficial patch for the game Boiling Point: Road to Hell
from Deep Shadows, working on Steam, GOG and any other game version.
It's a cumulative patch including EU 2.0, and earlier patch updates!
The patch is provided "as is" and any warranties are disclaimed. The
free redistribution of the unchanged patch is permitted but it's not
allowed to use it as a base for derivative works without permission!
To install the patch select the Boiling Point folder as destination.
Thanks to Jordan Russel for Inno Setup. If the HUD is too small, use
dgVodoo 2. For faster game loading delete d3dx9*dll and dbghelp.dll!
When using quicksave it sometimes happens that the game isn't saved,
you only see a blue save-screen then, so use hardsaves instead! It's
also rumoured that quitting the game when it rains disables raining.
Edit GAME.INI with any text editor to manually change some settings.
Disable starting videos: DISABLEAVIPLAYER=1, swap between languages:
Language=X (X: code), enable console: Find [Console], add Enabled=1.

Its so cool this becoming a reality after 4 years (2019), I was planning on making one definitive fix myself basing on the RU 2.2 Gold Edition since it have a few issues fixed there especially realted to A.I & Traffic Path, etc, We can talk about it on a better chatting platform like on Discord or any other platform you use.
I have heard about the 2.1 and 2.2 editions and I guess this patch works for them as well. To contact me, just use the email adress in the readme! Or check out the board of a new Deep Shadows fan site: Xenus.sacred-tribute.com
For some reason it takes forever to load or just refuses to load, idk the reason for it
Edit: i solved it, the screen would go black when launching the game so i instinctively tabbed out thus locking the game,i just had to wait through it so it would load. This is a great project and i hope more is added to it. Hopefully a fix for that crack in the audio
What crack in the audio do you mean?
The one where music tracks change
Sorry, but I never noticed that and I suspect this is a hard-coded problem.
Can I use this patch with the German version of the game?
If you mean the EU version 2.0 then yes.
Thanks for the answer. Had already tested it successfully. Very good work.
Nice!
When I use it the camera starts around extremely fast, even though the mouse works in menu. Using the 2.0 patch.
I don't have that problem. Maybe turn mouse acceleration down?
Same thing.
Turn mouse acceleration down.
I want to use the Renegade Storm addon mod along with this. Are the two working good together and if yes, what is the installation order? There are 2 conflicted files WORLD.MAP and resource.qrc and it seems the renegade storm has bigger file size (to accommodate the additions?)
You can run Renegade Storm by installing it on top of the patch, but then the normal game is gone.
so does that mean I can't play with both mods?
Not at the same time, no.
Works with steam update?
I haven't tried it myself, but people on the Steam boards say it does.
¿This patch have some relation with this patch with the same name Moddb.com?.
Yes, this is the file section of that page.
Thank you for doing this Wesp5! Love your Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines unofficial patch and always recommend it to people to whom I recommend the game. I discovered Boiling Point Road to Hell when it came out on Steam, but was disappointed with how buggy vanilla was. When I saw it was you making an unofficial patch, I had no doubt it would be fixed up nicely. VIELEN DANK!
I am curious, how playable would you say the game is with the patch right now? Should I wait for a later version?
It's very playable, but we have just started with patching it yet ;).
