Initially developed and released by Gearbox Software in 2001, second Half-Life add-on, Half-Life: Blue Shift is a return to the Black Mesa Research Facility and another look at the Incident's consequences from the eyes of Gordon Freeman's best friend - Barney Calhoun. In 2012, Crowbar Collective has delighted Half-Life fans with release of the magnificent Half-Life remake, but there are still no released remakes for add-ons. This is when we are coming in - HECU Collective are developing the Black Mesa: Blue Shift - a free remake with use of Black Mesa resources and style. We will try to stay as close to the original Blue Shift and Black Mesa as possible. Our mod will be releasing partially, chapter by chapter, so those who are not patient for the full release will finally have something to play!

Время пролетит быстро, главное, что бы в конце оставалось понимание, что все было не зря.

No Sir. I thank you and your whole Team for releasing the 4 chapters thus far which brought so many of us, so much joy.
For me Blue Shift was always one of the best HL1 AddOns and while extremely short, granted, was it still so much fun game play wise. Be it the brilliantly executed tram ride in the original Intro sequence. Or learning more about XEN and the old labs and how it all began. It delivered lore to us and that more so than Op4 did.

What you guys delivered us expands upon it x10 fold. I'm really looking forward to the next big chapter release and any other news. Stay on it and as usual good luck and spirits on your ongoing journey.

4 Chapters in 2 years with near AAA Gaming visual fidelity is a hell of an undertaking, let alone accomplishing what many dead mods from from 2 decades past could not by not only remaking what they set out to do but actually following through on an Episodic Release schedule.

Not even Ritual and Valve themselves could do what you just accomplished! ;D
