v0.72 adds the Nine-Banger flashbang grenade, Japanese Kamikaze tangos, the Beretta 93R, the Glock 18C, the Thunderbird full-auto .50AE Desert Eagle, a sawed-off double barrel shotgun, and the full size Uzi submachinegun.
Black Bag is a weapons mod being created for Black Ops 2.0 (which runs on the Rogue Spear: Black Thorn engine). Emphasis is on realism, though restricted to the weapons available in Black Ops 2.0.
* Phase 1 (COMPLETED in v0.30) -- add custom real-world reloading sounds to the weapons of Black Ops 2.0.
* Phase 2 -- (COMPLETED in v0.60) add any improved reloading sounds; add custom real-world gun shot sounds to the weapons of Black Ops 2.0, as the game engine will allow. This aim may run into limitations. Adjust volume levels. Added blood and wound textures from Blastem Smurf's Weapons v3.00. Added a second Assault Reservist, "Joe Evritch", with 50 score attributes across the board, for weapon testing purposes. Will work on getting his name and stats to display correctly.
* Phase 3 -- (COMPLETED in v0.70) Gave Team and Tango AI the ability to dynamically throw frags and flashbangs and suicide bomb RAINBOW. This is what "Free Use" means. CAUTION: AI may not exercise discretion when choosing to employ these weapons, so equip your team with this in mind. (PARTIALLY COMPLETED in v0.70) Rework unsatisfactory sound effects. (PARTIALLY COMPLETED in v0.70) Rework the accuracy and recoil simulation of the weapons of Black Ops 2.0, which have always been backwards in the Rogue Spear franchise. (Pistols are not sniper rifles.) (COMPLETED in v0.70, though weapons may not always be region-specific.) Update terrorist actors with more of the weapon selection (remaining faithful to weapon classes) to reflect the current greater commonality and availability of some of the weapon selection. (TENTATIVELY PLANNED for v1.00) Implement NATO 3.5's ammo types. Add "must-have" (serious) weapons to the mod after trimming back the soundvol.txt file. Implement LMGs that can suppress the enemy A.I. Implement tracers for LMGs. (I know it is possible, but without the actual mod to reverse engineer I have not figured out how it was done.) Implement free use of smoke grenades by A.I. (Hit a wall on this. Maybe a solution or work-around will present itself.)
Extract the .zip file to your Mods folder and activate Black Bag in the Mods Menu, giving it priority in the Options > Mods menu. You may need to delete any previous installations of Black Bag, depending on how you go about it.
Your file hierarchy should look like this:
Rainbow Six Black Ops
--mods
----Black Bag
------actor
------bitmap
------kit
------model
------sound
------text
------texture
------ModContents.txt
------ReadMe.txt
This mod may not work with Rogue Spear or Urban Operations, as it has not been tested and some of the files reference files found in the Korean "Take Down" version of Rogue Spear.
It might be possible to use this mod in competitive gameplay. Please share any video of attempts to do so, especially if it is amusing.
There are some alternate recordings included. You can swap them out by backing up the original file and then renaming the alternate to the default filename (referenced in the weapon's .kit file). There are numerous sound effects that I am not completely satisfied with, so I'll be keeping my ear out for replacement sounds for those:
