I think there must be something missed about my computer. I downloaded the v1.3.0, extracted it in a folder. When I double click the umbrella icon (the biorand application) nothing happens - no Biorand: A Resident Evil Randomizer - v1.3.0. screen shown. I believe this also affects me generating seeds with the v1.2.2. Any idea what should I do? Do I have to download some kind of apps or devices to solve the problem? Please advise, thanks.
try this : disable your antivirus
I did all the time but no use. Any other idea?
1) modify your antivirus setting : add biorand exe in exception list.
2) if still cannot work , consider to uninstall your now antivirus , replace by other antivirus like avast free antivirus.
3) if still can't work , reformat and reinstall your pc , or :
4) buy a new pc
I bought a new pc today. Unfortunately, nothing changed at all even though I can open the biorand 1.2.2 yet no new folder after seed generation, therefore no mod selection. I really don't know what to do.
I'll abide by your last suggestion of which in fact I have been thinking for the past few weeks. Thanks!
Hello again! I tried streaming the rando tonight and had a bunch of issues, unfortunately.
#1: Seed "R320-U7YU-Z0UN3PL" - Playing with Leon on A scenario, I ended up in the pump room I used the lift to move the heavy metal box to where it belongs. I left it and used the lift again to see where the door would take me up above and when I returned the lift was stuck on the floor below.
#2: Seed "R320-U7YU-Z0UN3PL" - Same as above, playing with Leon on A scenario. I climb the ladder in the laboratory where the giant plant is on the wall. There's a licker there. I shoot him, he falls through the floor and is still able to damage me from below.
#3: Seed "R321-C621-Z1UN3FL" - Playing with Claire on A scenario, I enter the room where the heavy metal box is, lift is stuck downstairs. Can't go around this is the first room where I started the game.
#4: Seed "R321-C621-Z0UN3FK" - Playing with Claire on A scenario, I go in the room where you hop in the sewer water, the room where you find the wolf medal in the vanilla game. I'm up on the ledge trying to take out zombies, one grabs me somehow and pulls me into the floor and I'm stuck there.
#5: Seed "R321-C621-Z1UN3FJ" - Playing with Claire on A scenario, the two double doors on the left when you first enter the police station leads nowhere. It loops back to the hall.
#6: Seed "R321-C621-Z1UN3FJ" - Same as above, playing with Claire on A scenario, I use the underground sky tram and go through the door. There's only a saferoom on the other side and when I come out the game freezes.
#7: Seed "R321-C621-Z1UN3FB" - Playing with Claire on A scenario, pump room lift is stuck on the bottom level, entered room on the top level.
#8: Seed "R321-R5XN-X1UNBFA" - Playing with Claire on A scenario, same issue with underground sky tram. Only difference is I got the room where you turn the light on and meet Sherry.
I highlighted the stream in case I missed anything.

This is unfortunately a regression in the latest update. However you are not softlocked, you can still use the elevator even if it is on the wrong floor, you would have been able to proceed if you had tried to use it.
#2 Minor issue, I could exclude lickers from spawning here.
#4 Minor issue, I could exclude zombies - however I think the base game also has zombies here after draining the water. But easily fixed by using the debug menu to load the room.
#5 This is a safety mechansim as mentioned in the documentation. Any doors that did not get connected up in a seed are locked and set to loopback on itself so you can't escape the door rando.
#6, #8 I will investigate these issues, thanks for reporting.
Most players will enable the debug menu so that they can reload rooms if necessary. I recommend doing this.

Not sure if this is already the case, but it might be worth making it so that Chris' Diary in the S.T.A.R.S office (room 115) can't be randomised into a key item - if you choose not to pick it up, you never get the chance again.
Thanks for the tip. I have indeed already marked it as low priority, so it will never be a key, weapon or upgrade.
