Hi guys,
I got a lot of free time currently and have nothing better to do than playing around with the good old Homeworld 2 again. In the last 3 days i already did all the rebalanceing that i promised long ago, because the old versions were realy shitty regarding that stuff. - Could be because i was about 11 or 12 years old when i did most of the past work and didnt have a clue about what i was doing, so i just punshed in some numbers and looked what happend. :)
Anyways... I realized that every single vaygr model that i had build or remodeled yet was somehow gone and none of them were in the last uploaded version, which doesnt really matter because i wanted to rebuild them anyways. So in the next few weeks i hope to upload a version with a healthy working gameplay and also a few better replacement models for the ships that i already worked on in the past starting with the advanced fighters and corvettes.
I also rethought the concept that i want to build the future mod around. It still needs a bit of revision but it will be based on grouping the ships by tech levels(a bit like its done in supreme commander) so for every ship class you will have 3 main tech levels that you can access by building certain ships, modules and research. Also there will be The final Techlevel which brings up some really overpowered stuff but the bigger ships that i hope to build for the higher techlevels of capitals will be hard to make so i will probably do more smaller stuff first, even though i got some cool ideas for bigger ships. But before i will start to group the units into the levels i will need a lot more stuff so that is just stuff for the far future.
Also i hope that the upcomeing homeworld remakes will come with modding support so i can jump to working with that instead which would be a lot cooler.
