The Battlefield 2 total conversion historical realism modification "Battlefield: Korea" deals with the Korean War (1950 - 1953), which is also known as the "Forgotten War".
Here we are showing off a lot more of the lighting improvements and our explosive impacts. On some pictures you can see the napalm effect and other graphical improvements. The new cockpit was remodeled for us by Rhino from Project Reality, while Anthony817 edited the instrument gauges.
That looks like some pretty darn heavy payload
It carries 5 napalm canisters, and 8, smaller conventional bombs. These planes could hold half the payload of the B-17 if my memory serves me correctly, so they were pretty damn stout. The 4, 20mm cannons make great work of ground units. This is the true grandfather to the A10 Warthog. XD
I'm gonna wreck some lives and dreams with that bad boy when it comes out!
Ha! Man, the F-86 Sabre used to be my favorite plane in this mod before we got this damn thing hahaha. This plane literally ruins all others for me! It is way too fun. Although, the Sabre and MiG both have their own strengths.
Now that we got a newly updated cockpit in this, I need to see about retexturing the Mustangs gauges at least. Clivewil did a great job on it, but now it is the plane with the least detailed cockpit textures. It is literally the same plane that FH2 uses, but they added a custom cockpit to theirs, and we can't use that version.
Yeah cockpits are important for a lot of people including myself. In pretty much all flight sim or games that have aircraft and supports cockpit view, I wouldn't use 3rd person unless it's absolutely necessary such as landing a diver bomber on a carrier. Judging by the screenshots, you guys did excellent with the cockpits as far as the Refractor engine goes!
Good news, I spent about an hour in the wee early hours of the morning adding clearer authentic gauges to the Mustang. It looks quite nice now. So our airplanes should be all detailed on their instrument panels. :)
Noice!
