Battlefield 1943 aims to be a 1.1 recreation of the PS3/360 console exclusive Battlefield game. The gameplay will be arcade oriented and a focus will be on balance. The setting is the Pacific War between the United States and the Empire of Japan during World War II. Like the original BF1943, the game will only have 3 classes per faction, and the weapons and vehicles will try to replicate best as possible all the originals found in that game as well. The maps are going to also be based on the originals. Coral Sea, Guadal Canal, Iwo Jima and the classic Wake Island.

My two cents: do not have regenerating ammo. If the mod's going to have no regenerating health and medics, may as well do the same for ammo.

Well then you guys need to vote that comment up and convince timotimotimo since I asked him last night and he was against the idea since the game has regenerating ammo. He said "Where would the ammo box fit in with what class" since we are trying to replicate the way it is in the actual game.

I tried to put ammo in the rifleman class, but turns out it would be too OP Since they already have healing ability. And AI Won't use the ammo and Medics together. If Put it in Engineer class it won't repair the vehicles and use the wrench properly. If on Scout class... Sniper won't carry spare ammo for the soldier in the frontline right?

Can't you just give it to everybody and not set it as a primary function of the class? That way everybody will have unlimited ammo but they will be limited by number of mags which they can use at once before the need to pull out the ammo box. I'm sure there's a way to tweak the files to disable the ammo bag throw function in order to prevent players and bots from stacking huge ammounts of ammo boxes at the same place like in Bad Company 2.

Description

Here is a medic kit box. We have decided to change up gameplay a little from the console game, as there is regenerating health in the console game. This being on PC we think there should be a little but more realism with it, but not to drastically change up the gameplay. Weapons will still behave arcade.

Currently we do have regenerating ammunition, although we are debating if we should also change that up for our recreation.
