is there anything to do in the beta

as in missionwise? or is it just mucking around with time machines and kit?

and what extra goodies do we get with 0.2c?

Delorean, had a thought here. With all the questions that 0.2a and b are causing, 0.2c is going to be damn near impossible to figure out for some. Why not tuck in an audio file and a gta3.img file fully packed with everything. as they seem to be the troublesome spots for people.
(these files would have to be manually copied rather than with the installer for those who don't want to copy over something they added)
Like i said just a thought. I just think this would help you from all the repedative questions.

They weigh to much. But Long night has an auto adder for the models. Might come in handy.

kitt, let me clarify a little more. Currently there's somthing like 30 threads dealing in troubleshooting. most of which deal with adding vehicles and sounds. My suggestion was to have an audio file and a gta3.img file fully loaded ready to go with everything HV has up to now(Meaning 0.2c when it becomes avalible of course), this way One can just exchanged the files with their originals. Doing this would relieve some of thease questions. some of the threads and about 23 of 24 hours of Deloreans day, lol

Protonkid: about the file size, I don't think that makes a difference because if you have SOL which I'm pretty sure you have, the gta3.img file is about four times larger than the one currently in HV. so I believe it would be a problem.

Let me know what you guys think, (as if that's been a problem til now, lol)

We Cant put the gta3.img and audio file up for download thats illlegal

Jul 3 2007 Anchor

The problem with that idea is that, we are giving original content to download, which is like dead weight. A couple megabytes compared to a couple hundred is easier to download. Plus, i'm not sure what R* is on the rule on downloaded content that has like 90% of their stuff. SOL replaced most of Vice City's textures with new ones. LC replaced it with Liberty City. And then, they also had you install sounds manually.

ok, thank you.

Jul 3 2007 Anchor

besides, we have a car installer already, so that shouldnt raise any questions. seems simple enough. just run it.

but as for sound, is it possible to create an auto sound installer?

Jul 3 2007 Anchor

haven't heard of any for gta, and i have no clue how to make windows-based applications. Just dos like nullpointers.

Jul 4 2007 Anchor

well thats easy enough

export, replace, import
