i was wondering in the final release or future releases is tommy's voice bites going to be replaced with ones from Marty's line in the movies?

Coz if not i was going to record little phrases and stuff from marty that didnt have ne music in the background and replace tommy's one with them.

that is if u guys arnt planning to do that allready.

That would require replacing 1,246 sounds in the sfx archive.

Jul 30 2007 Anchor

im not talking about the whole sounds where tommy is tlaking just ones he says like when ur playing the game not the cut scene stuff.

Jul 30 2007 Anchor

Cutscene tommy sounds are outside the sfx archive. The ones where it's ingame is in the sfx archive.

well do u mind if i do it and either upload the sfx file somewhere once done for u guys to add to the mod or just give u guys the sounds or something i dont mind doing it lol ive got lots of free time.

just use nullpointers to extract. Much easier to do it that way.

sfx08694 - sfx09814 = Tommy's voices
sfx09815 - sfx09940 = Tommy's grunts

Those are the audio files.

um, i dont know if these sites will eventually help with the mod or can be used in beta versions, but these sites are really useful for getting pretty much every phrase, significant or not from all 3 movies. dunno if it will help...

I used these for my vid. I think it'll be better recording some quotes with Fraps, then converting them. Better quality.

How long is it going to take to replace all those audio files?

Aug 4 2007 Anchor

im using goldwave program i have to record the whole conversations that have no noise in the back ground or very little and cut phrases and stuff from them and save as wav, i havnt had time to start atm been busy with my own project im working on but im going to start this week actually maybe later today coz i do wanna here marty instead of tommy while i play with the BTTF mod my self.

Aug 4 2007 Anchor

Null pointer or gta3 audio editor.

DeLorean, what is the sfx # for the line saying "my client is an innocent man"?

Aug 5 2007 Anchor

It is in the audio folder. Not in the SFX.sdt.

Aug 5 2007 Anchor

well whats the number i cant sit there and listen to them all!

Aug 5 2007 Anchor

you sure about that? Voices are also in sfx.sdt.
As for sfx #....I don't know. You expect me to memorize 9940 sfx sounds?

Aug 5 2007 Anchor

Yes I'm sure, cause I heard it there. I remember, I was messing around with a video-editor.

ok then..///

Ha, I think it's awesome some people are doing this.

I'd just like to point out that, as I'm sure you all figured out, you could probably use other roles Michael J. Fox starred in for some extra lines, in case you couldn't get a clear, coherent sound from the BttF movies...
