Ever notice how with nearly every movie, they have released a video game for it? Examples: Fantastic 4, Spider man, Transformers (coming out soon), and countless others, and it made me think......if Back To The Future were to be first released for the very first time, a world premiere movie (with the movie exactly the same, no changes).....do you think some big game producer would've made a Back To The Future game? Cause we sure as hell have the technology to do so.....but i just stopped to think about it one day, and thought i'd post it

they did at the time. (1989) the game just sucked. It was for NES though.

Jun 17 2007 Anchor

yeah but that was 4 years after the movie came out

yeh. and i mean these guys have done a great job out of what is available to mod in vice city. it seems stupid that with bttf being so popular with everyone, that easily with the technology to do it, noone has made a proper game, you know without limitations etc.

Umm, it's not popular with everyone, otherwise bttf.com would be flooded. It's just memorable, not popular like spiderman or transformers.
Technology is here to do it. Disk Drive space is not. It's like saving a replay that lasts a couple hours multiple times for each time you go to. You can imagine how fast your hard drive will fill up. In order to model time travel correctly, it needs to save every single thing that happens in each timeline, and it has to model for the entire city. With gta, only the things around the player are modeled, so everywhere else, if we could see, would be empty. Time travel requires these places filled, which requires the entire city to be all rendered at once so you can see something there if you time travel back there again. And then, simulating paradoxes and what small changes do is kinda hard to do. The technology is here to create a game, but to create at least an arcade time travel simulator that is playable, it is not.

ya thats true, but doesnt it just make u stop and think? your right, though, with that whole paradox thing though, but to just think what could be made had Back To The Future had been released in theatres recently or soon

It'd be pretty cool, but think of the impact that BTTF Had on the 80's.
There would be no way that they could make a movie like BTTF anymore, considering the fact that every time we predict something it turns out to be wrong. There probably will be a flying car, power lacing shoes, and whateverelse, but the thing is, if you think about it, its Probably not gonna come 100 years from now. If you really think about it, Our Technology hasn't Advanced that much, like we dont have flying cars, holographic theatres, nothing! we have nothing of that.

What im saying is, we haven't advanced out technology all that much, we have just understood it better.

Who knows, we could discover they key to simple hovering devices within the next few years and have fully hovering cars by 2015. Its still 8 years away.

Jun 18 2007 Anchor

knowing the government, even if it were possible by then, it won't be mainstream by then.

Jun 18 2007 Anchor

I agree with that! The other big thing would be the safty factor. the idiots in minnesota can't even drive on the ground, let alone to expect them to fly.
