0.2c? Thread - Back to the Future: Hill Valley mod for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Any ideas for this version of the mod? If nothing groundbreaking, we'll just wait until 1955 Hill Valley is finished and release 0.3. So far, the only thing I see for 0.2c is replacing most of the cars.

Hey, I've got an idea for part of the opening. You know how the original VC opening goes when it says the whole press play on tape and then goes to the intro movie. Well I was thinking maybe you could do something like the DVD openings and have the play movie button light up then switch to KITT's movie.

Will 0.3 have just 1955, or are you going to wait and release 85 and 55 together?

1985 will take a while to be made, and i see no reason in holding on to 55 for a couple of months if it's finished, so 0.3 will have 1955.

Anyway, how's this for a new feature. Drive a normal delorean into a pay n'spray, and at your discretion, have it be modified into a time machine? I'm thinking of this as an after-game feature for the real game, in case you wreck a delorean by accident. Since time machines aren't mass produced, you'll have to make it yourself.

Interesting idea, I think it would be better if you took it to Doc's Lab though, then that could start a side mission of finding the parts to build a spare flux capacitor using Doc's blueprints, it can be similiar to the way finding plutonium is in the game now.

well, i was naturally talking about the vice city version until hill valley comes out. And that is definitely an idea for a side mission later on, though not really a mission.

you can do that in 0.2b

What about initial boost? the "tab" is free in the flying delorean...

Really? I have R as a default... Besides, rcbaron has no radio station.

and yes it does. it just turns off when you activate hover. you gotta change channels again.

yep, rcbaron does have a radio. I would restrict the radios to keep it the same, but some people like mp3 players, so i'm gonna wait on that.

I guess I undestimated that thingy...

These things take time, so be patient. Though I wondering how well Hill Valley 1985 is coming along? Will it be ready for v 0.3?

I think 1985 Hill Valley will be available in the version 0.4 most likely
