This version is the same as BSM v20,12,16 but simply puts the sound files inside a "mod" folder.
Instructions:
Unpack Zip file and copy and paste the "mod" folder into your "sound" folder located in your warthunder Directory
WarThunder/sound/ <---here
Then open config.blk with notepad and add the line:
enable_mod:b=yes
Into sound block, so it looks like:
sound{
speakerMode:t="auto"
fmod_sound_enable:b=yes
enable_mod:b=yes
}
Can now Run through the Launcher
To remove:
Just change the "enable_mod:b=yes" line to "enable_mod:b=no"

Hi Boris ,firstly i'ld like to say that you are making a good job :) but there are some little bugs with it ; some time the sound of the plane's engine disappears ; in tanks battle the sound of tracks or transmitions also disappears . is there a way to fix it ?

Hey b0ris, today I tried the ferdinand and the vk (which share same engine sounds) and they sound like a panzer IV, I don't know if its a bug (because the ferdinand is dual maybach) or you simply made it that way.

Doesn't work through the launcher for me, and even if i use Aces.exe the launcher automatically pops up with out my command.

I did as you said,and it doesnt work.It still downloads original sound effects after i run through the launcher,or even aces.
Make sure you paste the "mod" folder into the "C: or D:War Thunder/Sound" so it'll turns out as "War Thunder/Sound/mod"
*It's not supposed to replace any files.*
Then, edit the config.blk
- add the line:

under "sound{".
It'll turn out as:
sound{
speakerMode:t="auto"
fmod_sound_enable:b=yes

- Save the config.blk.
- Launch the game normally through launcher

Why aren't there any new sounds for the soviet tanks?
Great job Boriss! This was my first time using this mod and I'm massively impressed! I made a video to test out your mod and it added a ton of depth to some already intense city-fighting.
The only major issue I had was when zoomed in with the scope on the Wirbelwind, when you fire, the sound file continues to play even after you release the trigger. The only way to stop the sound file is to exit the scope or wait for it to finish its play-through. Any further pulls of the trigger start another instance over again that can cause multiple copies to play. This briefly shows up in the above video at 9:09 if that issue is unique to my client and you need an example.

Can I put just guns and cannon mod?? I tried it but when I do that there is no engine sound..
U cant do that for the moment, or maybe you can by editing sound files, couldn't figure how to do that. But I think we will be able to do it easier since gaijin gave support for this mod.
We'll see.

hello boris. I heard about your WT sound mod and downloaded it and using it after someone suggested me.
in my Opinion it is a great Mod and I love it very much.
but there is 2 big problem I found (at least in Sim mod) 1) the Engine sound is too loud and i can't heard any other tanks or their gun fire. and also cause if this loud sound the Bombers went silent. they are just coming dropping bomb and I can't hear their Engine sound. 2) Gun fire and every thing is ok but the tank who are far from me shooting is also loud, can't understand if they are near or far. the far one and near one both are same loud. Can you fix this problems?
Apart from these 2 problems everything is fine. and the gun sounds are perfect to me also the reloading sound. if anyone think the guns are loud then yeah guns were always loud. and I love the way 128mm and the 150mm shakes my whole apartment :D
But please try to fix those 2 bugs I mentioned. (I have 8 gb ram) or if this is a problem from my side please tell me a solution

Just add the track sound for more realistic sound.
Sounds are broken since some of the updates, on test drive they are fine but on random RB they are broken, waiting for fix.
Thats all? Mod closed?
