We have stopped the development of Aurora. It's the 21st November 2138: A SOS arrived at NATO headquarter from a space colony. They sent out their new battleship Aurora to help them.

This is an official status report from the Aurora modfication of the Shock Illusion Studios. Today we have only a small update for you. We will talk about following topics: statusreport Job offers 2 screenshots from the modification We only want to give you here a small status report, to show you, what's coming next and what we are working on. Today we also want to offer the community some jobs in our modding team. But at first our status report:

Status report:

As you may noticed, our homepage is offline and you can only find a teaser-page.
We are currently working on our new homepage design. But the teaser page has a second meaning. We are also working on a small teaser video from our multiplayer part. At the moment we won't publish any further information about the teaser, but the picture on our homepage shows some parts you will see in our teaser.
You are thinking we only work on that assets? No, of course not. As usual we fully concentrate on the modification. There is small sub-team, which designs our homepage or cuts our teaser.
At the end of our status report we want to tell you, that all works go on well. But we are still searching for new members. Therefore we collected some job offeres of the Shock Illusion Studios, that we will show you now.

Job offers

Production Manager

We are searching for a production manager, who supports our leaders.
If you feel appropriate, you should meet following criterias:
You need a certain assertiveness, you should be able to work in a team and you need some free time.
Headset, ICQ, Skype and teamspeak to contact our members is also very important.

Storyartist

We have a short sketch of our complete story, but not much of dialogs are finished, yet.
Therefore we need a storyartist that supports us creating the scripts and dialogs.
You should have written some storys before and you should be very creative for this position. A great plus would be, if you are interested in Sci Fi Storys.

Concept Artist

We have such a mass of planned models, so that there is not a concept for everything. Therefore we search for some concept artists, who create some new concepts. You should have some fantasy, you should be creative and you should have made some concepts before. A great plus would be, if you can create landscape or person concepts, but only weapon and vehicle concepts are mandatory.

Mapper

We planned some Singleplayer Missions and some Multiplayer maps, but we have not enough mappers to create them as fast as our flow graphers can finish them. So we need some good mappers, that want to create sci fi maps. We have space, jungle, desert and city szenarios, so you can choose what you would like to do. There are no strict concepts of the map, so you can create them very freely. Only the rest of the team, will give you some tipps what you could and should change.

Modelers wanted

As a total conversion, we need nearly for everything a new model. We have some good modelers, but there are so many models, that we need help to finish them faster. You should have finished at least one finished model (quite complex, not too simple) and you should be able to make a model out of concept art. It would be great, if you can unwrapp and texture your models. The ability to create humanlike or other organic models would be a great plus.

Animators are needed, too. If you can animate models, not just rotate them, you are welcome to apply.

Texture artist

Some of our models are finished, but they have no texture, yet. We have some modders, who can texture, but they have to do other things, too. We need someone, who can create good textures. You should be able to create a completely new texture out of a unwrapp, not only modify an existing one. A great plus would be the ability to unwrapp the model yourself (and even create it), but that's not mandatory.

Programmer

Especially our new multiplayer gamemodes and weapons need a new source code. We have some programmers, yet. But there is still enough work for further programmers. Good knowledge in XML, LUA and modding experience in crysis is needed, experience in C++ would be a great plus.

Since we don't want you to think, that the update was senseless, here are two exclusive screens of our modification:

Aurora Hologram
This a a holographic projection of the Aurora. It is used to give the crew a review of the Aurora.

Hyperspace
This screenshot is out of the first level, we showed you in our last update. Here you can see the Aurora jumping out of hyperspace. It may look a little bit fuzzy on this screen, but ingame the effect looks much better. Perhaps we will show you a video of it later.
