It's a game from 2000. Are you expecting Unreal 3 or something?
that's not what he's talking about. it's the right screenshot which is too sharp! look at it! it's burning my eyes. the right thing is the "enhanced" thing, it has almost nothing to do with the graphics of the year 2000 game.
The contrast is a little higher, there's little difference beyond that.
Then simply bring it down a little. Honestly sharpening up textures isn't going to make them look any better and will simply make the texture look like a horrible mess which is demonstrated quite well by this shot, especially as there are detail textures already being used for those surfaces... As RayGean put it, it's an eye sore to look at.
The ground looks great. Nicely put Paradigm.
