I know textures and all the detail is a W.I.P. but the view of the iron sights itself is a bit bulky. Get a model of an AK101 and aim down the sights. Notice how you probably wouldn't be putting the butt of the rifle so close to your face...
He didn't make any new animations. He just disabled the zoom LOD.
