21CW MOD HQ - Despite the eye of Hurricane Ophelia circling around the head of our Mod Lead, JD, 21st Century Warfare and MyInternetServices.com are proud to announce the first official release of the 21CW Mod.
With a closed beta test of two 12-hour battles and over 200 people in the 21st Century Warfare Tournament successfully completed, the beta testers were extremely pleased with how the mod played and how the gameplay was adjusted to fit the style of the tournament. The Mod Team is also excited about the possibilities for the 21CW Mod and its use in the general Battlefield2 community.
The 21st Century Warfare tournament will be using the 21CW Mod as the basis for the continuing struggle between the four divisions of players that make up the 21st Century Warfare tournament. This release of the 21CW Mod will be the foundation that will be used to later add content, armies, weapons, and vehicles to increase the enjoyment and playability of the Battlefield2 engine, while also making the gameplay more suited for a balanced tournament-style battle.
The 21st Century Warfare tournament is the largest Battlefield2 tournament on the internet with over 600 players participating in 12-hour weekend battles using real military rank structure, chain of command, strategy, and gameplay. It's how Battlefield2 is meant to be played and the 21CW Mod introduces several changes and modifications to the gameplay of Battlefield2 specifically for this tournament. Among some of the changes are:
~Selectable rounds for helo gunners
~Miniguns added to the Opposition transport helos
~Selectable Main Battle Tank rounds (SABOT and HEAT)
~Changes to the kits and classes to include weaponry in other classes that are not available in normal BF2
~Improved attack helo physics and flying
~Improved capabilities and speed of the transport ground vehicles
~Laser-dot crosshairs
~Zoomable stationary machine guns
AND MUCH MORE... every aspect of every weapon, vehicle, and class was looked at and tweaked to some degree.
