Steam does updates the way desura does. Steam will probably have comparables issues. Xenonauts must try to reduce their insame amount of files. (See my post above)

The problem with the dasura client is that xenonauts has tons of files and the dasura client checks the md5 checsum of every file to derterminate if it needs to be updated.
That should usually save bandwidth, however, for the ~80k Xenonauts files it wastes alot of ressources and the client tend to crash... :(
Annonying but the developers try to merge the files... Hopefully they will succeed ;)

Yop. That would be really useful. I lost some time due to "I forget to save" and "game crahses every now an then" too.

The reason may be that you dont have enough material, imo they start building when you got all of the needed ressources. Maybe your builders got killed? See in your population tab if there are any.
However, when I had a building that will never finisch, I usually lacked some planks, or set the building to be build with "granite stones" while I produced just "serpentine" ones...

Probably yes.
"[...]I'm expecting to give out Steam keys to everyone who already purchased a copy. I just didn't want to make any promises until I saw something from Valve that said it was ok. I think it's pretty standard though, and I'd be really surprised if I couldn't do it" - RoboB0b
