I played the Demo just now and I really like the game idea and visuals. The current concept of picking an axis to rotate arround seems to hurt the gameflow a bit though. I find myself constantly stopping and looking at the axis cube instead of playing the game. Now maybe this is intentional and the goal is to keep the current world orientation in your head at all times. If this is in fact your plan, feel free to ignore this, but I would like to propose an additional world rotation methods that is more instinctual.
I would want to rotate the world relative to my current viewing direction, for instance.
Pressing the right or left mousebutton will rotate the world along the world axis the viewing direction is currently closest aligned to (Roll). Rotating the mouseweel will pitch the world 90° up or down arround the horizontal axis (Pitch).
Alternatively on a mouse with a weel that can be pressed side to side you could use that in addition to the mousebuttons.
