Hiya! Welcome all to my profile! Well, not really a lot can be say here, I mostly mod and map for the GoldSource engine, though I do mod other stuff here as well. Anyway, hope you enjoy your visit!
- All models done, I think.
HoE's pretty long, so, check and recheck might take a while.
- Added some zombie-like skins to the Namgrunts.
No idea why the originals had those, I guess they were half-infected?
They still act like normal namgrunts though, no moans of zombie-ism or anything.
- Menu background done.
Decided to mirror the AN cover, I don't have the best of skills however, so things might look utterly and massively off.
- Bush sprites replaced for models.
Inmap size changes impossible, so, a middle ground is found, hopefully will work as good decoration and not too much of a hindrance (especially after the temple maps, where it's almost the son of Sniper Town levels of hidden snipers if the bushes are too large).
- Starting placements on some monster_generic prop models.
None of them can be solid, so, no NE levels of absolute prop additions.
Unreachable areas that are empty might find better use for them though.
- Starting adding sounds to silent func_doors/rotating.
I noticed them, others might too, decided to add at least something to them.
[] Thinking of adding music, but decided not to.
Couldn't find any good ones, and might ruin atmosphere or something.
I'm kinda also trying to keep them video site friendly too, so, no grabbin' stuff from movies.
I hope you found suitable vietnam-friendly dialogue for the soldiers. Men of Valor had some pretty tight US Infantry chatter that you could use, they shout "Charlie's on the rear!" or "**** EM UP!!" when the fighting got tense, there's probably a goldmine of usable audio files for the US soldiers if you can find a copy of the game.
I don't have MoV, is it a good game?
Heard quite the lot of things about it.
Anyway, about the voices:
The Namgrunt itself is quite already booming with voices (about 106 separate .wavs!), and adding more I think would weird things out due to inconsistent voices.
Imagine hearing someone says something in one voice, then proceeds to say it in another.
That's why I never mix the 2 new hgrunt voices in my remods.
