i installed 1.4000 but it did not detect my previous 1.3003 installation. i pressed on with the installation and copied also the 1.4001 file in the game folder. now the game gives me an error saying that i have no openAL :/

what are the major differences of v1.3003 vs v1.4001? i'm not decided yet to patch it. i just want to play for the moment and not find solutions to bugs.
