Yes, this model is too high poly, and for the mod we will bring it down a bit.
Yes, this model is too high poly, and for the mod we will bring it down a bit.
This mod is currently still in production.
You must not have read the description, Titan.
As of right now we don't plan on it, but we are taking it into consideration.
Change of plans, I just found out as of today that we are able to use the Doom 3 engine, which will fit perfectly with the style of "The Sickness". Sorry for those guys hoping to see this mod on UT3, but it doesn't match up as well as Doom 3 does.
The mod was originally going to be for HL2 when we first started development, but we recently decided that since we weren't real far in the production stages, that we would switch it over to a UT3 mod. So basically those screenshots are now mock-ups and old references.
I would have gotten to you sooner, but my power was out for a few days. I would greatly appreciate having you on our team. I haven't had a chance to set up new work days, but just give me a basic idea of when you would be free.
Hey Cube its cool, i know how it is to be caught up in tons of things at once. Strider Mountain is much more important than Vers. 3. Can't wait to play it!
Hey guys don't forget to check out the quick little teaser vid we put together in the downloads section!
I hear ya cube, im getting everything back together and should be working by tomorrow.
Go ahead, after all you made it. I only watched and learned lol.
Yes that is true. I figure I'll use source since that is what i have right now.
Not to be rude or anything, you should read more of the posts, i dont have a lot of time to spend on this computer, i have 5 other flamily members that use it daily. And I have a life outside the computer, there are other things that are more important than this mod right now, like school. I'm not having a team because this is a mod to help me learn how to develop games. Again, not to be rude or anything like that, I wont be able to do much as of right now. This mod wont be dead unless a certain friendship is lost, or I die. I can almost guarantee that.
i know CD, so do you think im better off goin solo or would it be better if i had a team?
@baltic
I would spend that time, but i have 3 sometimes 4 other people that use this computer so i dont get to go on it alot. I am in the process of fixing another computer for me to use, but until then i have to stick with the limited time i have. Which is like 1 or 2 hours.
You know what I mean. Your my partner because you help me through the mod.
We are going to stick with the demon we have made, but there are others that will be made, I will talk to cube and see what he says, then i'll send you an email. In the mean time, when you have time, send me some pictures of work you've done at disturbedstricken@sbcglobal.net to see how they look. Thnx. I'll get back to ya.

Due to certain personal issues, I am putting this mod on hold. No this doesn't mean this mod is dead, no this doesnt mean this mod is not going to be finished, it means I am going to take a break from this for a while. I am however, going to make one playable map to give you a taste of what "The Sickness" will be like. When it is finished, it will be up to download. You can play it and please message me back at disturbedstricken@sbcglobal.net. This will give me a chance to get some more practice and find out what you like and don't like about it. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, my internet is down at my house and won't be up until around October 30. But we are about 3/4 of the way done with the mapping for level 2. After I get my internet up and running again, I will post pictures of what we have done so far. We predict the second level will be done by halfway through November, if not, then earlier.
There will be custom models, we just used this one for the first demon so we can get the first level finished up. This will be the only premade model in the game.
i know. Even worse, i just found out we mioght be moving!!!!!!!!!! i really dont want to move. I dont know whats gonna happen. But i'll try to work on it as much as i can.
of my parents....yes, of me no. As soon as i am able to get actual time on the computer i will work on it, but it should be done by next friday.
you say that like somethings wrong here? Whats on your mind Cube?
yes level two is being worked on. It's taking more time than anticipated due to family issues, but when it is all settled I will be able to actually get some work done.
this map (by the way this is the only map we have done as of right now) is the layout of my house and was used to help get me more familiar with the hammer level editor, the maps will improve as we go along.
Well because it was gettin into the month of october, and also, suprisingly there arent many games oyut their that deal with demons in the form i chose to do the mod in. Also you should expect it from a goth rocker like me lol. The idea of doing demons also popped into my head while watching constatine, playing Doom 3 and listening to Disturbed "Down with the Sickness".
yes thetwo models are different, for instance look at the harddrive on top, his is rounded and sticks out, ours is curved down and inward.

I have been playing video games since I could hold a controller. Then one of my friends introduced me to game design. I always thought what it would be like to create video games, now I get to have that experience. I am currently enrolled at Flashpoint Academy of Media Arts and Sciences in Chicago and enjoy meeting other future developers within the gaming industry. When I am not at school or working on games, I usually am playing them. I also like to hang out with friends, play baseball, football, and paintball. I work at Illiana Motor Speedway during the summer for the 64 Patterson Racing Team.
