Those are really good ideas...
I'd implement that if I knew how.
Perhaps in the future when I've got more programming knowledge.
Thank you though, and sorry there's nothing I can do about it right now.

Hi, sorry about the late response.
Nothing really, I've got a friend working on the exterior of the ship and then we've got to work on the interior. Perhaps I could make another trailer and maybe show off a little gameplay once that's totally done.
Thanks! I hope you guys love it when it comes out.
Hah! I'm glad to see that the monster scared the living )&%# out of you. And, in fact, the flares going through walls has been an ever-present glitch. I've tried so much to try and fix it, but Unity doesn't seem to want to cooperate.
And yes, Unity is a free game creation engine, it's very user friendly and awesome. Even more awesome, is a (unfortunately expensive) plugin for Unity called PlayMaker that lets you do visual scripting with a state machine.
Also, the game has been updated quite a bit since December (Yes, it seriously took this long for me to realize you left a comment on one of the images), and I think you might like to take a look at it again.
Thanks,
The Visionary
No, that was our concept artist, Kennon.
Thanks! I can't wait to get it out!
Thanks! I also saw your review, and you actually can stagger it for a moment if you manage to hit it. Also, you can now exit from the game by either pressing escape and quitting, or hitting M to go to the main menu. This can also be done ingame.
It's discouraging to see that the last update was over a year ago.
Thanks!
I'll give you a few hints as to the things I'm working on:
*Space
*Mouthless Cat
*Jack Torrance
Those are all related to separate games, by the way.
I do have two other projects I am currently working on, one of which may be out in a few months at the very least. I will keep updating FLARE in-between though.
Sweet! I'm glad you both liked the update. As for the sprinting, you can sprint normally if you're only... holding... the... W key...
It was a poor design choice. But it will definitely be fixed in the next update.
I didn't, but I did edit them. I guess that removes the old ones.
Thanks, I watched it, and it was so cool seeing you get scared the crap out of. I will definitely play it a bit to see what I can improve. And, no problem. I really like your videos!
That's awesome! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and I would appreciate it if you could let me know what it is that could use work, I'm always open to ways to improve the game.
If there is a new update just check the latest news. I'll put any updates there.
Thanks! One thing that may help is that the background noise you hear while playing gets louder as he gets closer, and changes when he is dangerously close. I'm glad you enjoyed my game.
I'm not sure, I've been trying to work on some other projects (most of which do not have anything to do with game creation[there however is another game I am working on]), so pretty much whenever I see something I can change, add, remove, or fix. Which, as of now, there's nothing I can do to it. I doubt I will keep updating it forever, but there will be updates for some time.
...whoops... I'll be sure to fix that soon. I'm busy with another project currently but I will definitely get that done. And, no problem.
I saw your let's play and I quite enjoyed it. Thanks for doing that! However, the version you played is a bit outdated. When did you download it? You may want to get the most recent version.
To Mr. 23cape:
I saw that you reviewed my game and gave it a 2 out of 10. Why is that? The least you could have done was give me some actual feedback instead of just rating my game badly. So tell me, what was it you didn't like?
No, thank YOU. I watched your video, and I think it was awesome. I will be try to fix the floatation bug, and may add some sound for when you die, other than the blade hitting you. Also, one way you can tell the monster is close is that the noises you hear in the background get louder as he gets closer, it even changes if he gets dangerously close. Thank you for you feedback!
Why yes! That would be amazing! Don't worry, the game is free, you will only need to download it once it is released.
Thanks so much!

Hi, I'm Chris Parker, previously known as Visionary Games. I've ditched the name Visionary and left behind my previous and failed projects in an attempt to create a fresh start, clear my head. Though I have gotten too ambitious many times before, I still hope to experiment and create unique games.
