I want to say one word to you, just one.... Red Alert!

This focuses more on the Red Alert story line in comparison to the Tiberium series.

Well I just thought I would write some of my thoughts on the series, based on the storyline, as far as I can tell, the original Command and Conquers events came after Red Alert 95, thus making the original Red Alert the beginning of the whole story, I'm not an expert on how all the events plays out, but in short (to medium length, lol) as far as I can tell, Albert Einstein goes back in time and eliminates Adolf Hitler, thus laying the path open for a Soviet conquest of Europe. This means Red Alert plays of in World War 2, the Allies obviously defeats the Soviet Union in the end and eliminates the Stalin Administration from Russia, yet for some reason allows the Communist Party to continue as a political force in Russia, which in later years has Alexi Romanov as Premier, who vows to return Russia to the former glory as a "Stalinist" Soviet Republic, and went on to challange the world in what I suppose would be World War 3 (RA2), which also ends in defeat just like what had happened to Stalin in World War 2. But before I continue, there was originally another story happening on the background, as can be seen in RA95, Josef Stalin has a very personal adviser who is Kane, who seems to have been working with Natasha, Stalin's other "special" adviser, now Kane's objective it seems involve undermining the Communist Party, and from what I can guess is, building a private secret state within the state, which will overthrow the Communist Party one day when the time is right, and emerging as the Brotherhood of Nod, thus meaning the Nod would originate from Russia, or at least Russian influence, while the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) is later formed from the United Nations previously known as the Allies. If this is correct as I understand it, it makes sense, so back to RA2, another figure is introduced here, Yuri, it seems Yuri himself has been around for some time, as he is seen on a photograph with Josef Stalin, meaning he must have had a hand in Soviet Russia history in it's attempts at world domination, however he is here seen as Romanov's personal adviser, he, just like Kane previously, also plan to undermine the Administration, however his plans do not seem to lie with converting Russia into his own faction, he instead, it must be guessed, takes Russian technologies and manpower to secretly form his own faction on covert parts around the world, and when the Soviet war machine comes crushing down in this 3rd World War, he emerges immediately afterwards to challenge the world (Yuri's Revenge), and also fails, since as far as I can tell all Command and Conquer games follows up on the victory of either the Allies or the GDI.

So it can be assumed that Kane was still working behind the scenes somewhere in Russian politics during the events of RA2 (if only to connect the story line as far as possible) Wonder if Yuri and Kane had any collaboration or perhaps rivalry, whatever the case may be, they both would have went into it for their own means and gains. So this means that the original Command and Conquers events would still not have happened yet by now.

But then comes the spanner in the works with Red Alert 3, which possibly throws of the whole inter connection of the story line. In Red Alert 3, Anatoly Cherdenko, just after the defeat of Romanov's World War 3, take note, already sidestepping Yuri's Revenge now, went back in time to eliminate Albert Einstein, as this would mean no Nuclear Weapons for the Allies, thus ensuring Russia's former glory. All good, except that would this not mean that then Albert Einstein would later on not be able to go back in time himself to eliminate Hitler in the first place? Thus what Cherdenko did now was, I suppose, reverting World War 2 back to how we know it to have happened, with no Soviet forces marching across Europe. This would then mean Stalin had no "great" crusade, and later died as the Soviet leader who saved the Russians from a Nazi invasion. This would mean that Romanov, if he even had to come to power still, would have no reason to do what he originally set out to do, and the Russian people in general would not be motivated to reform back to any old glory and attempt to run over Europe. So even though eliminating Einstein seems minor in this sense, it just about changes everything completely, how Cherdenko becomes Premier when he returns to the present is unknown, however Premier he becomes. No Nuclear weapons means the Allies then had no super weapon to quickly end the war against the Japanese in World War 2, and I suppose leads to Japan surrendering conditionally, which is better then surrendering unconditionally, and as the years go by, Japan builds up a massive military force, and I suppose enraged by the past, possibly at their own past leaders for surrendering to capitalist "scum", they set out to conquer the world. Attacking both Russia and the Allied Nations, they basically ally in order to defeat the Empire of the Rising Sun (Japan), with some backstabbing and undermining coming through from both sides, in the end the Allies win anyway.

So the question is, would the events of Red Alert 3 mess with Kane's ultimate plans and the bigger picture which leads to the original Command and Conquer, or should we assume that Red Alert 3 can in no way be part of the story as a whole and is thus another alternative future, I know Red Alert 2 can allready be seen as such, but in my opinion Red Alert 2 can still work in the bigger picture, just maybe not Red Alert 3.

PS, in the last installment of this great story line, Command and Conquer 4, the Nod are allowed to finally win, since there will be no sequel anymore I think. - Just a shame in what manner it all came to an end, they could have done much better!
