I vote for the old one. Less of a strain on people with older computers. And as some have already stated it seems to fit better. Or if its not much of a pain, you could place an option in the installer when the mod is finished as to which one a person would want. A little out of the way, but having options are always nice. ^_^

True but their is a limitation to what can be done. All of the gate improvements, and the addition of the SGU gate are quite impressive by themselves though.

Hell yes. My rep video card came in, though being of a PCI interface I'm happy to say my computer now runs the mod perfectly even in the SGC and Atlantis. Should have no problems when ya'll finish V2. Woot! ^_^

I agree. Though I'm iffy about Seasons 9 and 10. Only thing I like about those 2 was the Supergate, however since it wasnt used frequently it wasnt all the great either.

I dont know if the mod creators will give me hell for it if I tell you how though. So for now I will only give the hint above unless the developers dont mind me saying how.

I asked because San Andreas runs perfect on my computer as it is, however v1.5 of the mod lags very bad in areas such as the SGC and Atlantis. My current computer only has regular PCI expansion slots and my gaming computer build has been put on hold for a while due to unforseen circumstances. I'll have a much better PCI card by monday afternoon at some point but I dont think the orignal game's specs are compatible in v1.5.
Current graphics card has the following.:
*250Mhz Core Clock
*256MB DDR400 RAM
*Uses 4 Pixel Pipelines(Everything uses Stream Processors now)

Replacement card has the following:
*650Mhz Core Clock
*512MB DDR3 1000 Ram
*Utilizes 80 Stream Processors

I am hoping the replacement solves the problem with the extreme lag in the previously stated areas but again there isnt a guarantee with it being PCI interface. Card has been staed to run Doom 3 at a respectable FPS rate so I'm hopeful.

Thought about asking this for a while. What minimum computer specs would ya'll recommend for use with the new version of the mod when its finished?

I take it we arent getting the Aurora class ship? Damn was looking forward to that one.

Here's an interesting question. After arriving on the destiny, will you be able to dial the earth gate using the 9 chevon address for the earth gate in destiny's database? Or will ya'll follow the show about serious damage on the ship with it only being able to store 40% of its max power reserves, and thus be unable to dial earth at current? I've seriously though about this and cant figure out myself which direction ya'll might go, so I though I would ask.
